Party help

HappySunflowerx · 09/05/2022 13:35

This my first post so hopefully it's in the right place.
I am organising my 7 years old birthday party and wanted to know if anyone knows of any companies where you can hire helpers to help serve food and help clean up at a childrens party.

Thanks so much

Unless you are inviting 300 then just do it yourself, surely? Paper plates and cups.

It doesn’t take that much to organise and tidy.

What’s your plans for the party that makes you want to hire someone? If you are set on it possibly offer £20 to a local teenager to help.

Why is the answer to any question on mumsnet a local teenager

butternutbiscuits · 09/05/2022 15:12

Op most venues would tidy up etc after you where are you hoping to host the party?

Why not. Why not offer £20 to someone who could do with the cash and is able to help out for a couple of hours 🙄

Too vague a question- is it a hall party or at your house?

hopeishere · 09/05/2022 15:55

If you don't have anyone to help you would be better at a venue that sorts it all for you.

HappySunflowerx · 09/05/2022 21:21

Hi,
Thanks for your replies. It's lots of kids in a hall and just feel it will be too much for me on my own xx

I do wish I had booked somewhere that sorts it all out, but unfortunately I am where I am :(

DD helped out a couple of times at parties for her friend's younger siblings. Helping with food and drink, looking after them, clearing up the tables (grabbing some bin bags and dumping it in, paper plates and cubs and disposable serving trays) and helping at the end tidying up the hall.

Bit of pocket money and free food and spending time with her friends who also were roped in to help.

hopeishere · 10/05/2022 07:36

How many kids?
What's the party plan?
Is your DH about to help?

milkysmum · 10/05/2022 07:39

How many kids?
Are no other adults attending apart from you? If they are ( partner? Friends? Other parents?) then you should have plenty of people available to help clean up after a kids party in a hall?

IglesiasPiggl · 10/05/2022 07:40

Could you ask a couple of the parents you know well to help out at the end. I have done that loads of times. It doesn't take long if two or three people are doing it.
