Should I sell my car, any advice please

Hi
I have my car on lease, I have had it 2.5 years and pay £160 a month for it. At the end of the agreement (oct 23) I can hand it back or pay £6000 and keep it.
I have been looking into selling it, getting a loan to buy a car and then it is mine at the end.
We buy any car will pay £9300 for my car, I owe £8000 on it.
I would get a loan for 7-8000 and buy something else.
Does anyone have any advice they can offer please?

You would get a lot more selling it to a person or even a garage, rather than We Buy Any Car.

So it’s a PCP car. You might get a better deal if you take it to the garage that you intend to purchase another car from. Bear in mind that there’s still a considerable delay on the availability of some makes and models. Think carefully about a Mini. They’re very expensive, as are the service costs. I wouldn’t have one again.

It's likely your car is worth quite a bit more than £9k. I looked at the prices of Suzuki Ignis at a local fixed price car supermarket that has quite fair prices. They have a few 2017/8 models and these are priced at £11 to £14k and yours is newer than this.

But they do have a wide selection of Minis at a similar price for the same age car. So might be worth a look.

Don't do WBAC ... absolute rip offs. They literally knock so much money off for the smallest things. My step father had to sell his car due to Dementia and they offered him basically nothing. There was nothing wrong with the vehicle. It was in really really good condition.

Just be wary of those companies OP.

I’ve only used them once, they were great! Came down a few hundred for some stone chips which was fair enough.

And yes OP, if it’s on a PCP rather than a lease you can just sell to WBAC and they’ll settle the finance. If you part ex it with a dealer they’ll also do this for you, just remember to get an up to date settlement figure in writing to take with you.
