Dental Emergency - out of hours?

I've been having a bit of pain in my tooth for a few days, and noticed this morning that an old filling looks like it's cracked/fallen out.

My dentist has no appts till next Friday, though put me on a list to call in case of cancellations.

It is quite painful now though (I think made worse by looking at the tooth to be honest). If I call 111 tonight, once it's out of hours, could they actually do anything to get an appt quicker?

It's doubtful. OOH provision for dental problems is pretty much non existent.
Does your surgery offer a private OOH option?
Or try Googling an emergency dentist ?

Dunno but I’m in exactly the same position. I’m registered with an nhs dentist and they said keep ringing them every day as they get cancellations

I'm not sure, but could you order the filling replacement kit from amazon? Not sure if they sell it at Boots etc.

Bugger. I thought that would be the case.

I got one of those temporary filling kits, but it wasn't actually staying in / drying. Maybe I'm doing it wrong? @Bathroom2022

Hope you get sorted too @QuebecBagnet

I actually managed to get an emergency appt today and not good news it needs pulling out so need to go back for that.

Enquired while I was there about getting dd a routine checkup as she's registered there under nhs and hasn't been seen in 3 years but still no appt for her as they're short a dentist. But people ringing up or asking at the desk for appts getting them no problem but they're private patients. So total 2 tier system. There are actual appt slots but you can only have them if you're private.

Hope yours isn't too expensive.
