Sorry for this sad post. I'm posting for advice. I've collected her and she's wrapped here in a blanket. Her twin cat is pacing around looking for her.

What do I do? Do I allow her twin near her? DC are in school and they'll be crushed when they get home. Sad

When one of my kitty's was run over, we wrapped him in a blanket, which got soaked in blood, then carried him in and let the other 2 cats as niff him. It was sad as Nd one kitty kept pushing him with her paw as though trying to wake him up. We put him in a box then buried him in garden. You have to dig deep. Then we put as slab on the top to stop dogs digging up. After 4-5 months we took off slab and scattered with wild flower seeds. He was my favourites kitty too. I did notice his brother became more cuddly after M died too. Before M was always up with me. Now the other 2 cats come up more. M's brother seemed a bit quiet for a couple of weeks after his death though.

What a beautiful cat. I'm so sorry.

Our cat was hit by a car last month. She was found on the road by dh and dd, what must have been minutes afterwards as she was still warm.
We brought her home and wrapped her in a blanket then let our ddog see her.

We had to wait a few days for ds1 to come home before we could bury her so that he could say his goodbyes as well so we put her body in the freezer.

She is now buried with the ashes of our previous dog underneath my mil rose Bush. She passed away in February so that is also still raw.

I have never seen my dd so distraught, it broke my heart as dcat and her adored each other (I was tolerated and good for food, but God I loved that cat). I still don't know what's worse, ddog looking for her happily, then remembering and her tail dropping and her coming for cuddles, or just when she doesn't look.

Flowers for you all.
