Baby is 11 months, children are 9 and 6. Backstory DH always takes forever to get time off work and we tend to either miss good holiday deals or end up booking more expensive one. After telling him since December to book time off work for May BH he left it so late and now he can't get it off. Luckily I booked in January, so I'm going to Spain with 3 kids on my own for the first time. Any tips, dos or don'ts? We're staying all inclusive for 5 nights, private transfers to and from hotel, I have a signed letter from DH for airport official (kids have DH name). What else am I missing? I haven't travelled abroad with a baby only with 2 year old and above. Have I bitten more than I can chew 😂

Can you take the buggy to the plane? If not think about how you're going to get your 11mo to the departure gate (sling/carrier, practise beforehand if it's new).

Car seat(s) at your destination or are you bringing your own? If bringing your own, what are the requirements for it going in the hold?

A bag of random toys/magazines/games/snacks. Pull something new out of the bag every 20-30mins on the flight!! Be sure to check snacks are allowed on the plane (they might need to be eaten before landing and going through customs).

Consider paying for airport lounge access if they allow children. There's often food & drink, more chairs and plugs for devices, as well as toilets. Plus you can't see the shops so that might stop any nagging to buy stuff.

Have fun and enjoy your holiday

You'll be fine. Agree with a sling for the baby and booking the lounge. Luggage on wheels so evthe little ones can help easily. Can you book through a stroller at the hotel? Don't forget to book seats on the plate too.

Thanks for the replies @PutinIsAWarCriminal and @toastedCrumpetwithCheese I bought a very light stroller yesterday. Weighs just under 6kg and I can bring to the gate and it can be stored and retrieved once we land. Baby doesn't like slings unfortunately. I completely forgot about car seats. I will have to contact the transfer people. I naively assumed that since they are aware of the ages of the passengers they will provide a car seat for the kids 🤦‍♀️
Will def stock up on snacks and will find out about airport lounge access.
Silly question; will baby be ok with the food? With regards to salt content as we usually cook without salt at home. Thanks again.
