Another nail in the coffin.

Doubt it tbh. As long as Harry and Meghan are around Andrew could go on a shooting spree and somehow he'd still be ok. He must thank his lucky stars for his nephew. Imagine having that magnitude of teflon-ness. In which your mother - the actual Queen - can pay off a woman you claim to have never met £12million, yet knowing if it was all a lie the institution could have brought her down in a matter of hours. Imagine being that invincible. I'd walk through oxford street naked with a shot gun.

Trouble is, it's up to Her Maj to remove his actual title.

Still, it's a step in the right direction.

I'd storm deBeers and demand they give me all their diamonds. I'd wear a tiara and nothing else. I can't even begin to fathom what that level of unaccountability must be like.

Good. Let's hope the queen stops parading him about now. She should not be doing that on official engagements, it's inappropriate and totally insulting to his victims as well as other trafficked and abused women and girls.

Have just finished watching that three part series called House of Maxwell.
Andrew was talked about. It really didn't look good.

But Maj loves him. Hmmm...

I'm not sure it is. Parliamentary action is required to remove a dukedom. Not so sure about HRH - only removed as part of divorce in recent years - can't remember how it was done when there was last a cull amongst superabundant Victorian offspring.

As the Monarch, her role is to put the interests of the country before everything else. So, when she's tucked away out of sight in her private homes- Balmoral, Sandringham, she can do as she likes with him. When she is in Windsor Castle, Buckingham Palace or Windsor Great Park- they belong to the Monarch. He should not be seen or favoured there, not should he be when she is in public in her role as Monarch. So he should not be seen at all at her Jubilee celebrations- which are a national celebration by the nation of her as longest-serving Monarch- not a place for him to be seen at all.
If he had a shred of honour or decency he would hand back his title of Duke of York and Prince of the United Kingdom. He won't because he feels, wrongly, he deserves the status. He only has either because she is monarch.

Ah @EdithWeston , just googled.
They are removed by Parliament and Lords with the monarch's permission.

Let's hope, eh?!

If we just got rid of them all life would be so much easier.

It would make no difference whatsoever to my life. I’d be so happy never to see Andrew again though. I hope this sends a message.
