A stray cat came to visit a number of years ago. I mom decided to feed it and at the time he used to get fed and go away. Not he is at home more often but he is outside. My mom is having a bad time lately. She likes to keep the window open at night and the cat takes advantage of that and tries to come in and then he wakes her.
My mom likes to sleep with the window open on the widest setting. I suggested for my mom to pull in the window a little. I sleep with the window open on the smallest opening and it works for me and he stays away from my window. My mom likes to complain and say she can't sleep like that, it has to be wide open.
She now wants me to find her a solito fix this. She was trying to block the window with objects to barricade him out but that never worked.
Mom wants to find a mesh sheet for the window and stick it on the window by gluing or hammering.
Would something like that work?
I suggested for my mom to spend a day in her room with a spray bottle and encourage the cat to approach the window and she could spray him away every time he comes to the window so then he will associate the window to getting wet but she doesn't like that idea.
Is there anything that will repel a cat away from a window at night?
