Challenging behaviours in kids - is this an indication of the adults they'll be?

I have a few examples of this being true, but I'd be interested to know other opinions/experiences.

no , not in my experience and they have turned out to be amazing parents too

Nope. Mine turned out fine. His challenging behaviour turned out to be the result of untreated adhd and acute anxiety.

Not at all, in my experience. I have six, almost all grown.

Depends on how parents teach them to deal with it. Challenging back is rarely helpful.

I hope not

my 10 year old is having angry outbursts (throwing things.., screaming) when stressed over honework and he cannot control himself.

Would you mind expanding on what those behaviours were /looked like @BarrowInFurnessRailwayStation - I'm going through an assessment process with my son at the moment and it would be really helpful and possibly reassuring to hear a bit more

Mine had challenging behaviour all through nursery and school resulting in a diagnosis of ASD and being allocated 1:1 support throughout school to ensure he did some work and didn't disrupt the lessons. He hated school (and the support ) even though academically he was bright.
Went to Uni away from home where he gained a BA and a Masters. Has held down various mundane holiday jobs and now works in an office job.

I hope not. My DC are young (6 and under) and have all been challenging in various ways, the 6 year old is maturing, I think/hope, and is such a good boy in many ways. Enjoys naughtiness though.
