Summer camps for non-sporty pre-teens/early teens?

DS will be at the age limit this summer for his favoured summer camp when he turns 11 in August. He has ADHD and is not very mature for his age, ATM he's got more in common with 7-8 year olds than 10-11 year olds I'd say. I want to start trying out some different camps this summer, if only for a few days, to see if they might be goers for next year. I don't think he'll be ready to organise himself socially over holidays like his older sibling until he's further into his teens so I need to find camps he could do in years following this one - that don't involve sport!

Thus far I've thought of drama and Dungeons & Dragons as things I know there are summer camps around and that he might be interested in, but I'm aware there's probably some other interesting things out there. We're in North London, so if you've heard of it, we can probably find it relatively locally - so what have your (non-sporty) teens and tweens done for summer activities?

Is he musical? I know there are various choirs and orchestras that do residential summer camps.

He can sing very nicely, but whether I can persuade him to do singing is another matter! I'm thinking more day camps - we've found from experience he has difficulty with residential if he doesn't really know a lot of other kids well.

How about cookery? A friend's son of a similar age did a week long non-residential course which she said was brilliant (and meant she didn't have to cook dinner for a week!).

Are there any science camps? There are a couple of companies near me (not London) that do days of experiments and all sorts of STEM activities.

There are also outdoorsy type places that do Nerf battles, assault courses, climbing walls etc. My two DSs did a survival day where they made shelters and lit fires etc. Also water sport days- learn to kayak or Paddleboard. The same companies do trips out climbing waterfalls etc.

Stagecoach might be worth a go. The boys usually get good parts! You can pay with childcare vouchers too.

Thanks all. Cookery is a good idea, he loved an after school Cookery club last year but sadly the lady couldn't do it this year
