I have seen more and more recently on adverts, social media and on websites if there is a picture of a persons/persons alongside the text often there is a description of the text, for example a made up version but similar kind of thing to what I’m talking about

”Lisa is standing holding her dress out of the water, the sun is shining and is making a reflection on her hair clip”

I just wondered why this has become and thing and who it’s there for? I have heard similar kind of audio narration for people who are sight impaired but wondered who written narration would help?

Sorry that should read a description of the picture.

Screen readers can tell someone visually impaired about the picture if there's a description.
