Hi,
does anyone have any Legoland Windsor tips? Can you do it in a day? Hotel recommendations? Going to use our club card vouchers so that should save us some money too.
thanks :)

Yes, you can do it in a day if you plan carefully.
Use the Legoland app to keep an eye on queue times
Save time (and money) by taking your own food. Put the money you’d save towards the Reserve and Ride system. If you’re staying in a hotel the night before your visit, get a meal deal from a local supermarket.
Measure your child’s height before you go and research ride restrictions.
Seriously, get there early and get on the rides before they get busy. The website tells you the resort opens at 10am… but you can actually enter from 9.30am. If you’re there early, you can join the park opening ceremony at 9.50am, or you can head as far back into the park as you can and get in the queue for the rides before anyone else makes it that far. Some of the gates to the different areas don’t open until 10am but those in the know will be queuing there beforehand. We did this on our second day and managed to walk straight on the Atlantis Submarine Voyage (pictured above). Later in the day, the queues were up to an hour long.
When the shows are on is also a good time to get onto nearby rides, when they are quieter.
The usual advice is to leave the wet rides until the end of the day so that you don’t have to walk around wet and cold. However, because everyone does this, that’s when the rides are usually busier. Consider taking spare clothing instead.
The website might say the park closes at 5pm off peak or 6pm peak, but on both days, a lot of the rides were still open way after that, provided you are in the queue in time.
Pay for parking online in advance so you can just scan your ticket on the way out, rather than having to queue to pay.

The best tip I can give you is to not go in the school holidays.

How old is your LO? They do parent and toddler days in term time for £25 for the two of you which is a bargain.
Agree with the take your own lunch advice, saves time and money- you can always eat in a queue. Download the app and decide which rides are a must and head for the one you must do first. Don’t forget Lego village too- it’s amazing. Enjoy!

Take food so that you can eat in the queue. We were in one for 90 minutes so food was a good distraction.

We went in the school holidays and the queues were ridiculous! Seemed a waste of money to only get on a few rides so I've told the kids we can go on a teacher training day this year as it's too expensive when you spend most the day queueing and don't get on many of the rides. That aside though it is a lovely place and my kids love it there

We used to go a lot when DCs were young as had passed thanks to Tesco.
Go when weather isn’t great. Preferably not wet but not glorious!
get there as early as possible
take a picnic
do wet rides last and take change of outer clothes
I haven’t been for about 10 years so can’t comment on fast passes

I always found they let too many people in than they really have capacity for.
The first time we went we got on about 4 rides in the whole day!
For that reason, every time we’ve been back since we pay for the QBot things. Means we get on everything the dc want to do and although the price is exorbitant, it’s so expensive just to get in and going on only 4 rides is unjustifiable.

Thanks! Great ideas. Our boys (twins) will be 7 and a half, so going when the Scottish schools finish for summer but before the English schools break up so will hopefully be a bit quieter.
thanks! :)
