Just a proud mum post

I'm just going to post a proud mum post, because I'm so relieved and happy for my DS. I've posted numerous times on here about how my DS has struggled with friendships, often been on the edge of friendship groups, not found his tribe. He's very bright, a bit geeky, not massively social but was in desperate need of a couple of good mates.

Starting Senior School during Covid didn't help and forming friendships was so hard for him (as it was for many others I'm sure).

Well yesterday he had his 13th birthday party with 4 of his friends. They are lovely boys, he was so happy just messing about and being a bit goofy, the smile on his face was just brilliant. He's finally got there and it's such a relief and pleasure. I wanted to post it here anonymously just because I'm so bloody grateful.

I am such a proud mum, my child is so bright healthy and intelligent, always so much fun, friendly but aware and knows when to go. He is always typical child and developing in to the most amazing little boy any mother could wish for.. We are making start in our lives in our happy home and now gaining financial and personal independence and enjoying our lives together in our new home and environment where I am working and he enjoy s child care. We are blessed and looking forward to a lifetime together of love and kindness.

I am so proud to be making our whole happy healthy future together in our new home forever. There is nothing that can bring us apart.

How lovely OP! Totally relate - my youngest struggled with friendships and I still feel so grateful when he makes friends. (Uni age now!) Long may it last for both of them.

Lovely post. My DD was the same at primary school, but secondary was the making of her.
