Would anyone care their their secret for dusting Lego? Or is the secret simply not to dust it 😂

Mesh bag into the dishwasher.

Ihaveoflate · 21/04/2022 08:29

I put it in the bath if it's really grubby, but generally wouldn't think about cleaning it.

Do you mean Lego that's been build and is displayed? I imagine a can of compressed air would do the trick.

Melzbelz · 21/04/2022 08:34

Yes, my DS has some Lego that he still has on display on his room and every so often I try and dust it. This usually results in me accidentally breaking bits off then trying to figure where those bits go before DC comes home from school and notices.

Thank you for that @Hotcuppatea
I might just print that off.

Stabbitystabstab · 21/04/2022 08:36

Can of air? Like you use to clean keyboards

olympicsrock · 21/04/2022 08:36

I have never dusted my son’s Lego models. Life is too short.

Ariela · 21/04/2022 08:38

Half inch paintbrush. Sturdy enough to get in there, fine enough to flick the dust off. Then consider display cabinets.

InglouriousBasterd · 21/04/2022 08:38

I run a feather duster over DDs Hogwarts castle every now and then, it gets into all the little bits.

icelollycraving · 21/04/2022 08:41

I use a paintbrush, tiny one. I then use it in the ridges of his ps4.

Boredof2020 · 21/04/2022 08:41

Clean paint brush or a can of air

Melzbelz · 21/04/2022 08:45

Thanks, I am off to the shops tomorrow for a can of air, feather duster and a small paint brush.

Make up brushes are the recommended thing in my AFOL group.

Bagelsandbrie · 21/04/2022 08:53

Definitely the compressed air thing although sometimes it does blast bits off….!

MintJulia · 21/04/2022 08:54

Ours lives in large plastic tubs with lids so doesn't get dusty. But I wouldn't dust it anyway. Life is too short.

Musicalmaestro · 21/04/2022 13:40

Thanks for this thread OP. We have lots of intricate models here. I’ll try the compressed air thing myself.
