Would you eat these? (Chicken)

We had a food delivery about 8pm last night. I thought the Chicken nuggets were frozen and stored them as such, but they were fresh and Should have been stored in in the fridge.

I have just got them out to cook for the Easter party and saw it says not suitable for home freezing. I was going to defrost and cook in the oven. Will they be okay to eat?

They’ve been in the freezer about 16 hours.

I wouldn't risk it they'd be in the bin here.

Yes.
The unsuitability is sue to quality rather than safety. They may not be as nice but they won't kill you.

They probably will be fine but the general rule of thumb is don't mess with poultry.

This is correct, they'll be absolutely fine and that's not even taking a risk.

It's probably more about how they look when they're cooked than anything else.

Scienceseeker · 17/04/2022 12:08

I’ve looked more closely at the back fo the packet and it says they were previously frozen and then defrosted.

Nope, ignore my previous post!! Bin

GeneLovesJezebel · 17/04/2022 12:11

No, if they’ve previously been frozen and defrosted, then you’ve frozen them again it’s a no. Bin them.

Wizzbangfizz · 17/04/2022 12:16

They will be fine

trainnane · 17/04/2022 12:17

I wouldn't give it a second thought. They've been kept cold. I do it all the time. If I buy fresh stuff but realise I can't use it that day, it gets shoved in freezer. They'll get nuked at 200 degrees - nothing will survive that as long as you cook them for an appropriate time

trainnane · 17/04/2022 12:18

Just add on extra time & check they cooked properly
