We are at an outdoor pursuits centre where you can do stuff like climbing, archery, obstacle courses, watersports etc. (Camping but its open for day trips too)

Wurd · 16/04/2022 20:23

Zoo or safari park

RumJerrySailorRum · 16/04/2022 20:25

This sounds really twee, but absolutely anything so long as I'm with my husband.

Life seems to have got so bloody hectic at the moment that we hardly see each other and it's shit.

But, I like a drive out, a mooch round the shops, a drink and maybe some food then the drive home with a takeaway for tea.

crackofdoom · 16/04/2022 20:28

Anything so long as I'm not with my children Grin.

Treasure trails. Great fun. Available from treasure trails.com (I don’t work for them!) I’ve got my whole family doing them and I’ve done all the ones within 20 miles of me and buy them for places we go to on holiday. And we swap them all around. Suitable for all ages.

Keladrythesaviour · 16/04/2022 21:18

Crazy Golf here too, we can happily spend time playing crazy golf with a Magnum and feel we’ve had a good day out. Easily pleased.

maddiemookins16mum · 25/04/2022 16:12

Oh and our other favourite is Geocaching.

AffIt · 25/04/2022 17:20

I find myself increasingly fond of a garden centre or National Trust / Historic Scotland garden.

21-year-old me would be horrified.

Leftbutcameback · 25/04/2022 17:23

New craft skills - we’re doing pottery soon, and have done glass fusing in the past.

Local gardens which aren’t NT - open gardens scheme and private ones.

Leftbutcameback · 25/04/2022 17:24

And a very specific one - Hidden London tours in old tube stations! We’ve done 6 now

Neverreturntoathread · 25/04/2022 17:26

Warner Bros film studios
Goape
Craft days eg silver smithing / resin table making
Volunteering - wildlife, school.

RampantIvy · 25/04/2022 17:32

I like most of the things already mentioned. I also like going to food festivals and supporting local events like carnivals, agricultural shows, fundraising events etc.

catsonahottinroof · 25/04/2022 17:39

Most of the things I like you've already covered, like
a day out walking then a pub lunch/dinner.
going to a different city/look round shops/eat in unusual restaurant
living history/craft type places
ice skating (this is more for winter though)
outdoor swimming
theatre (haven't done this but would like to)
free museums in London like the British museum

RampantIvy · 25/04/2022 17:41

Just thought of another - scenic railway routes or steam trains

MintJulia · 25/04/2022 17:43

Clay shooting, cycling, hiring a boat on the nearest canal.
