Do I need to get a new passport?

Just wondering. I have 4 years left on my passport and I didn't get it changed after I got married so it's still in my maiden name. Also I'm rather attached to my EU passport and didn't want to get a new one unless necessary.

Haven't booked any overseas trips yet and was going to book in my maiden name anyway so it would match the passport. But I'm thinking, if I need to take a vaccine cert with me will it need to match the name on my passport as I've used my married name to register at the GP surgery?

Not sure if we'd take go somewhere further afield or closer in Europe or how that would affect things. Any advice?

Thanks

They will need to match. Maybe an easier way of doing it is to change your surname back to your maiden name at your GP surgery.

Can't you take a marriage certificate to prove the link between passport and covid Paperwork? I still have my married name on my passport and won't be changing it till it runs out as I had 7 years left after I divorced. Hopefully so this covid Paperwork will be defunct by the time I travel!

I only renewed my passport last year after getting married 7 years ago. Just make sure bookings are made in the name that matches the passport. Never had an issue.

I have travelled abroad twice with this issue, passport in maiden name, Covid cert in married name and it was no problem at all. I brought my marriage cert just in case the first time but it wasn't an issue. By the time you go anywhere I would imagine it will be even less of an issue as they barely checked the documents in Feb!

Thanks everyone! That's great, I hadn't thought about taking my marriage cert with me. Will look into what option I need to take depending on where we go to - much appreciated.
