Toddler logic. Can't beat it.

Toddler knows that sometimes his fruit gets too old and has to go in the bin. Same for his milk. There's a memorial bench on our usual dog walk that's had flowers on for the past week or so and we walked past yesterday and they were gone. He was very upset and kept asking why and I explained that they were old and had to go in the bin.

So obviously this morning when he asked his nanna who is watching him today whether they can go to soft play and she said "oh I'm too old for that darling" his response was "mummy, nanna needs to go in the bin" Grin

Aww bless him. When DS was little he used to come out with all sorts of funny things as he got to grips with understanding the world. I wrote them all done in a little note book. I treasure it now as I know I would have forgot most of then.

Baby sitting for a very switched on god daughter - I think she was about 4 .. Me : Ooh I don’t think your Mummy would let you do that … her : But you’re not our mummy so we can do it ! Can’t flaw the logic ..

When I used to take my 3 year old nephew out for the day he would barter with me to carry him. I'll be good if you pick me up... i'd hope he was going to be good anyway haha.

My niece was just learning to read and write and came to stay with us for a few days. In the park was a bench with a plaque on it in memory of someone. She asked me to read it to her and asked what 'in memory of' meant. I explained it was a nice way to remember someone who had died so wasn't around anymore.

The next day she drew a picture of me and DP inside a heart, and had written 'In memry of xx and xx'. She explained it was so she could remember us when shed gone home and we weren't around anymore.

Lovely gesture but unbelievably creepy!

Doing road safety with toddler DC, we explained that you have to look left and right for moving cars on the road (as opposed to parked ones) to see if it is safe to cross.

One day we saw a hedgehog that had sadly been run over.

DC:
"There's a hedgehog. It's not moving. It's parked"
