Buggy advice for newborn + toddler, car jenga!

Can I buy a stroller for a newborn instead of a pram/travel system? Currently have a mountain buggy urban jungle with carry cot, parent facing seat, world facing seat, car seat adaptors etc which I used for my first two, now due baby three in a few months. It's slowly becoming clear that I can fit NOTHING but kids + pram/whatever seat unit I'm using in the car and I'm thinking I could sell the travel system and just use a suitable from newborn stroller? Perhaps go for something a bit more luxury so bit more padded and comfy for baby. Also thinking if I do it sooner rather than later I can use it now for my almost 2yo and not have to lug the heavy monstrosity about while pregnant as it's killing my back!

The reason we got a mountain buggy was we are v outdoorsy, do lots of walking, beach etc but actually when we do these I tend to use a carrier rather than pram/buggy anyway. Also I used to run with the buggy when my eldest was a baby but obviously more problematic now with multiple kids around and thinking I can just do evening runs and have that time for me rather than trying to take kids?

Also, buggy boards- any good or do you just walk into them all the time? Not planning on getting a double buggy so I think options are buggy board or stick baby in carrier and toddler in buggy when they're tired 🤔 Toddler will be 2y3m when baby born and likely in nursery 2-3 days a week anyway.

Any advice from those with a similar age gap much appreciated!

As long as it lies flat you can use what you like. Or what about getting a sling and using that for first 3 months? Or one of the lieflat car seats like Joie i-Level, Cybex Cloud? And a small frame buggy with adapters. There are also "soft" carrycots you can buy which just nestle into any standard pushchair.

We could never fit a carrycot into the car so never bothered with one except for walks from home.

My 3yo just climbs onto the buggy and hangs on, I haven't bothered getting a separate board.
