When you feel wronged, how do you get over it?

I need to accept that a relationship I have worked hard at is not going to work out the way I hoped.
It is a sibling relationship. I have reached out but am getting nothing back. It is causing me some pain, and I need to put it to one side and think positively now.
Has anyone been in a similar position, a d do you have any tips for moving on in peace?
Many thanks.

Distance and going very low contact has been the most helpful thing I have done. Focusing on building and maintaining the positive relationships and friendships I have is also helping

Thank you. That sounds very good advice.

If you wanted the relationship and reached out and can happily say you did what you could then no need to ‘get over’ it.
I have a 3 tries rule. 1st msg ok they may be busy, 2nd erm ok, 3rd and silence from other person and I’m done.
Don’t care what friend it is ignoring someone 3 times is just plain bloody rude

And I’ve found if they then msg/call How are you.. I always will say after I’ve said How are things (to make sure nothing awful did happen!) I tried messaging/calling you but assumed you were either dead or kissed off with me

Accept what you can control and let go of the rest?

Counselling helped me so much. I would really recommend it. If someone asks you the right questions, you answer yourself what you need in order to let go and move forward. I can't describe the impact of someone asking you the right questions and you realise for yourself that you're going to be ok.

The very best of luck.

Know that you have reached out, without agenda, to build a relationship.

If the other person chooses not to respond, be comfortable knowing that you have tried your best, and that the door remains open should they work things out in their head, and change their mind.

Then get on with enjoying all the other aspects of your life, because you did the right thing.
