Highly shameful personal problem, help needed.

About 10yrs ago I developed an extremely pungent armpit - only one side. I've only ever used deodorants sparingly through life previously because I never really needed it. Now, even moments after I've stepped out of the shower the smell is there. Over the weekend, my friend pulled her nose up at the 'extremely stinky' bloke at the next table but I knew it was my armpit. I do use the best deodorants I can find now but still the smell seeps through. I'd like to go back to how I was before. Has anyone else had this problem & found a solution for it? The doctor isn't interested.

I don't have much useful to add .. but please don't think you have anything to be ashamed of @PurpleToeNail

This is clearly not due to a lack of hygiene or care by yourself . Hope you get sorted 💐

@MrsPelligrinoPetrichor

** sorry I thought that pic was of Sure not Rexona, looks exactly the same.
Rexona is the same as Sure - the brand is called different things in different countries. When I lived in the UK I bought it as Sure and now I'm in New Zealand it's Rexona!

Possibly try taking some probiotics.

See a dermatologist. They deal with anything and everything related to the skin, including the skin on your pits :)

Thanks for the explanation, I thought it looked the same. Fantastic stuff!

The smell is the bacteria. Personally I'd try an antibacterial bar of soap, regularly wash and see how it goes. See a dermatologist if it doesn't help

Detox your armpit. Use a mix of bentonite clay and apple cider vinegar. Works quick and easy.

I use Dettol bar soap as it kills bacteria and then see if using sone tea tree oil under your arm for a few days helps.
