What's for dinner?

I am so so far out of inspiration but might make spagetti meatballs for the DCs and have some pumpkin filled ravioli for me. But I have a farewell for a colleague at 4 today and she is putting on an afternoon tea so may not have anything at all after that.

I'd love some ideas from others, especially for the weekend. Family friendly and plain ideas for a super restricted SEN child also extremely welcome. :)

We’re having an Indian tonight, it’s finally the Easter holidays so I’ve got a couple of work friends round and we’re going to drink lots and scoff a curry.
Tomorrow we’re out in the evening for dinner and Sunday we’ve got a pub lunch and then going away so don’t know what will be for dinner!
Lazy and a lot of eating out for the foreseeable - I can’t bloody wait Grin

Homemade pizza tonight
This week we’ve had
Stir fry and slow cooked pork ribs that I then coat in hoisin, soy, garlic and Chinese five spice and put in the oven for 15 mins
Cottage pie
Chicken in a spicy tomato sauce and pasta
Indian tomorrow
Roast beef on Sunday

Hot dogs and corn on the cob. Really, really quick and easy and the kids love it.

APurpleSquirrel · 08/04/2022 18:28

We're having an Indian takeaway - I'm having Chicken Biryani, Tarka Dhal & Garlic Naan.

HalfShrunkMoreToGo · 08/04/2022 18:34

Fried egg sandwiches

CircusBaby · 08/04/2022 18:36

Easter holidays now so DD11 has a friend sleeping for the weekend. I've done 2 big Lidl pizzas and chips, ice cream for after. Plenty left for later, too. 2yo has been off his food this week but he's wolfed down a slice of pizza so fingers crossed it was just one of those things.

UnspeakableBode · 08/04/2022 18:41

Tacos made with beef mince and homemade spice mix, guac and pickled pink onions. Served with nachos. Was tempted with takeaway but had a craving. Toddler had chicken dippers because he's picky!

Crunchymum · 08/04/2022 19:05

Cajun chicken, balsamic new potatoes and beetroot salad.

SpringLobelia · 08/04/2022 19:13

Thanks all.

I think hotdogs and pizzas will be on the list this weekend. Ds1 is very very light and needs calories.

@BlueSpottedGiraffe Sausage, chips and beans for us. It's an easy Friday tea that both us grownups and kids like.

devuskums · 08/04/2022 19:32

Beef massaman curry cooked in the slow cooker tonight. Homemade pizza cooked in the air fryer tomorrow night. Trying to do a week without using the actual oven to see if it helps with the bills!

hiredandsqueak · 08/04/2022 19:34

I've had a hot chocolate because I can't be bothered to cook, dd had sausage sandwich and onion rings because that's what she asked for. I'll make an effort tomorrow.

StScholastica · 08/04/2022 19:45

Maple and rosemary pork chops, cauliflower cheese, roast baby potatoes, carrots and peas.

Indian takeaway ordered! It's been a long week month.

Dh on the way home from work, all teenage+ children out tonight, he's bringing wine.

Couldn't be better really!

Cheesecakeandwineinasuitcase · 08/04/2022 20:08

Chilli salmon, asparagus and new potatoes

TheCanyon · 08/04/2022 20:08

I'm not even gonna lie, me and the dc had smoked sausage pasta and fucking brilliant it was too. Been doing hello fresh meals all week, wanted something quick and easy. I made dh salmon, potatoes and veg though (gluten free and gf pastas rank)

sophienelisse · 08/04/2022 20:26

I've just batched coked 10 portions of Gordon Ramsay chicken tikka masala. But added in smoked paprika and a bit more chilli.

It's on of my favourite meals.

I'm having that with jasmine sticky rice and an Asda naan bread

How do you put pizza in the air fryer? Doesn't it burn? Fresh or frozen?

Can I have your beef massamn recipe please 🙏

Teawaster · 08/04/2022 23:31
