Just can’t be bothered!

Does anyone else feel like this, just generally. Exercise, cooking, tidying, going out for a walk/shops/night out etc.

It’s like a vicious circle… if you don’t do these thing you end up feeling worse!

How do you snap out of it?

Sort of. Not sure I did but I found different hobbies to fill my spare time.

Still don't exercise as much as I probably should and the house is very tidy but not spotlessly clean. I'm happier for being busy though.

It's like a hamster wheel isn't it? Without wanting to sound trite I have found mindfulness helpful. As in I have had mindfulness based therapy which was very useful. Being grateful for what we have etc. sounds woke but it does work. I do sympathise OP it's so hard.

Yep often.
Do you get proper breaks & downtime OP?
I find that really 'allowing' myself to rest helps with my energy levels. Also good quality sleep makes a huge difference.

I think this, and the hamster wheel effect might be the issue.

I’ma teacher abs during term time it feels manic! Esp with 2 kids at home. But then in the hols it feels relentless still with sorting kids, tidying, entertaining them etc.

We’ve just been an air bnb for a few days and although we did some nice walks/bike rides, it just felt monotonous again in the house.

I think I need a bit of time to myself…. In fact I’m craving it!! Just a chance to not adult or parent

Yep @Annoy you can't pour from an empty cup.

Do you have a DP/ family member or friend who can enable you to take downtime? Go away for a night & day even.

I fully appreciate that the hols are rarely a break for teachers. At least Get in ready meals/ take aways a few days a week over Easter.
Book a cleaner, even as a one off, if that's within your financial reach.

Thank you. Yeah, my husband is pretty good, he works away though. He only got back a few days ago, so 3 weeks on my own with kids and work has felt full on. He’ll be happy for me to go away for the night my own
