What would you learn to do if lots of free time in a small space?

What would you learn to do if you had loads of free time? So for the next three months I will be working in a job where I’m waiting on members of the public to turn up. I have a small, heated room and WiFi. Busy days I don’t have a lot of time but quiet wet days I can be twiddling my thumbs for hours. I did this last year and watched a fair number of box sets and ate a lot of biscuits but this year I’d like to learn something new and am on the hunt for ideas. Must be put down able and non messy.I’m going to try knitting and renew my audible subscription any other ideas would be great.

Learn a language on Duolingo or memrise? Some type of online course?

Do you want a formal course or a hobby?

Vision2Learn have a bunch of free government funded Level 2 & 3 courses - www.vision2learn.net/courses

I haven't used this provider but have been looking at some of their courses - particularly the embroidery ones - www.domestika.org/en/courses/1797-realistic-embroidery-techniques

knitting is what I do; I run a market stall selling yarn and haberdashery so I think it helps sales with customers seeing me using the yarn. In this respect whatever you are selling can you do something with the item to interest customers?
Otherwise for me it would be reading, if you have wifi competitions and online courses probably a language.

I did a free course in astrobiology which was fascinating.
Lots of interesting ones on coursera

Not selling anything encourages visitors to a site to park and behave responsibly/ providing information.

Vision2learn looks good but is only England and I’m in Scotland will have a look at coursera.
