Hi all,

Could I please be cheeky and ask you all for your family Easter traditions? However big or small. I’m looking for inspiration!

Thanks Flowers Smile

I am not religious. But Good Friday is a day of introspection and solitude. For some reason it seems sad and particularly around mid-morning. Perhaps something from a primary school lesson resounds in me, but Good Friday is a day of silence.

Easter Saturday is preparing and buying gifts and for some reason a day of work. Normally in the garden, but could be anywhere but normally involves fixing something. Last year we steam cleaned an outbuilding for a rescue animal, the year before we built a wall.

For some odd reason we have a wine bottle hunt after the egg-hunt on Sunday.

Love the 🐰ear idea! We have hot cross buns for breakfast. My friend's family have a tradition of hardboiling eggs and the rolling them down a nearby hill where they have a picnic lunch.

We are not religious either but usually have fish for dinner on good Friday, could just be fish and chips if can't be bothered cooking.
Saturday is a day to do something active together like a cycle or long walk in the hills.
Sunday morning is a big Easter Egg hunt followed by hot cross buns for breakfast. Then we decorate our hard boiled eggs to take out in the afternoon and roll down the hill in a nearby park.
Roast lamb for dinner followed by an Easter Egg or two Grin

I must be the only person never to make a big deal of it! I did Easter egg hunts in the garden when the dcs were small but just another weekend really.
