London weekend with a brand new 18 year old!

Planning a long weekend in London for DD's 18th in September.

So far have hotel booked, lunch on the Friday (which will either be light or more substantial depending on what we do for the rest of the day), Hard Rock Cafe (it's a tradition of ours) and Hamilton Saturday night, and View from The Shard and restaurant booked for Sunday evening.

I want to fit in one other 'special' booked thing but am struggling to find something suitable.

Have looked at day spas but can't find anything a/ reasonably priced that b/ doesn't include food. As well as the restaurants planned we've got a couple of places in mind for brunches so not fussed about lunches/afternoon tea.

Both quite fancy life size Monopoly but not sure if it would work or be much fun with two of us and Crystal Maze Experience can't guarantee we won't be put in different teams.

I've looked at a few cocktail making experiences but none really appealed...I just don't want to spend the entire weekend just shopping and eating.

Any ideas much appreciated, including options that don't need advance booking would also be great then DD could choose one or two things nearer the time or over the weekend itself.

Sky Garden is definitely beginning to edge it over Shard.

We love Borough Market and China Town Grin.

@passport123 it's a lovely idea but DD and I are not remotely athletic and she's hit and miss with heights. I was surprised she mentioned the cable car as she won't do the London Eye or something similar we have locally. It will be the last thing I book in case she changes her mind!

Victoria and Albert museum is popular with mine at that age (before covid we last went) they like the fashion exhibits, saw a very interesting history of underwear one. We also have done the proms, rowing on the serpentine, river boat ti Greenwich and the maritime museum, cabinet war rooms, st Pauls cathedral ... and a Jack the Ripper tour

Hijingo, DNA VR (they do VR escape rooms), other cool escape room places, there's quite a few cool mini golf places, the museum's, Kew garden, you can do tours of disused underground stations if that's of interest, London dungeon, Kyoto garden

@gogohm might well look at the Ripper Tour for the Friday evening...is there one you would recommend?

@AppaTheSixLeggedFlyingBison (that is one hell of a username!) you've reminded me that last time we were in London Dd mentioned how fascinating it was that there was so much going on underground...also off to Google Kyoto Gardens!

@VeryMuchFlaggingMinty from my favourite childhood show!

Found what the underground tours are called - Hidden London. If she likes that sort of thing there's also a mini train at the postal museum which takes you down the underground royal mail used to use :)

I love the cable car - more, really, than the London Eye, because it's novel and you see the same kind of view as from the capsule, just not so far and on a shorter timescale. If I'm still right (and it's going back a few years), you can do it just on an Oyster fare so could fit it in whenever, either sunny period or twilight time.
