Walt Disney World Disability Access Service

Has any been to Walt Disney World and applied for the disability access service? Apparently it is it better to apply before you go but I can’t see how to do it.

If you have applied what has your experience been? We are really looking forward to our holiday but it would be good to know this was sorted so we can all relax.

Although I haven't used this, you can register between 30 days and 2 days prior to arrival. Here is the link to the registration information:

I went in January 2020 so I am not sure if/ how things have changed since then. When I went you couldn’t apply beforehand. The very first day I went straight to Customer Relations in the park and explained that I am autistic and what challenges that presented re queues/ crowds and asked for DAS. It was really easy and they added the DAS to my magic band. If I wanted to go on a ride I would walk up to a member of staff and explain and they would then tell me what time to come back in order to go on the ride. So you don’t get into a ride quicker but it means you can go away and do other things/ wait in a quieter area etc. I just meltdown in busy places so Disneyworld was challenging enough but there is no way I could wait in the queues. I get overwhelming panic after queuing for around 5 minutes so without the DAS I would’ve been unable to go on any of the rides.

As above previously you couldn’t register in advance but you need to explain why the queues are a problem (not your medical condition) and they will decide if a GAC is appropriate. Just using a wheelchair is not a good reason as queues are mostly wheelchair accessible.

Thank you. I have worked out how to get one now. You need a VPN and you log into a live chat and talk to someone about your access needs. You get to choose two rides per day in advance.
