Easter eggs that come in two halves?

Bit of a strange question... I like to use half an Easter egg as a chocolate bowl for dessert on Easter Day. This year I'm just doing strawberries and raspberries with white chocolate ganache served in a chocolate bowl. But I don't know which Easter eggs come in two halves rather than a whole egg. I can't be bothered to try and cut them in half.
I thought the cheapy Cadbury ones were in two pieces, but I've just opened one and it isn't.
Any ideas? Thank you.

Could you use a hot knife to cut the egg into two halves?

The cadburys ones definitely used to be because I remember being disappointed that I couldn’t smash the egg.

I’ve tried a fair few this year already and sadly I have not yet found one where the egg is in two halves. I think a hot knife would be your best option.

I think the Hotel Chocolat ones do?

DD2 was given an aero egg this afternoon and we just broke it into two halves very easily (to access the aero bubbles inside…!)

I think the nestle ones are in two halves

What? Are the Cadbury ones not made of two halves now? How does that work? How do they make them? I have so many questions.

Does it depend on the size? Surely the bigger it is, it would be harder to make whole?

So many questions.

Surely you need an amazing 70% chocolate egg of it will taste pretty vile- cheap chocolate is full of palm oil and i edible

Thingsthatgo · 29/03/2022 19:21

Badgerface that looks like it might work. Thank you. I might have to eat some more Easter eggs.... all in the name of research.
Yes, yes, obviously it should be 70% quality dark chocolate blah blah, and I like a bit of montezumas choclate as much as the next woman, but on Easter Day I'm all about the cheap nasty mini eggs!

Buy an egg mould from a craft shop and make your own half. Its not that hard.you might just need a thermometer. Easter egg are made in halves and joined.
