Anyone had their teeth professionally whitened in London?!

Hi!

I’m looking to get my teeth whitened professionally, and wondered if anyone has any recommendations from places/dentists in London. My dentist does it for I think £250, I just want to be sure I’m getting it done somewhere with good reviews and I’m struggling to find any overviews online!

If anyone has any recommendations I’d be v grateful! Smile

The Eastman dental hospital's private practise. Can't get better than that. Mine glowed in the dark after Grin

Oo glow in the dark teeth Grin Can I ask how much that cost please? Also how long it lasted and how long the process takes? Thank you!

Are you talking about bleaching OP? Because the dentist will make you a tray and then send you home for four weeks to bleach them daily if so, meaning reviews might not mean a lot as most of the onus is on you!

Mine cost £350 for bleach and trays done on 3D modelling for circa 28 days, the stuff used was 10% strength but legally in the UK it can go up to 16% I think he said.

In the US you can get bleach up to 35%!

Erm I don’t know, maybe? I asked them about whitening and they said about moulds and then taking home stuff home with me.. is that the standard way?

@PingPages
I’m interested in your question too.
Especially how long results last

Don't waste your time & money on the home kits, it's not as powerful. At the Eastman they protect your gums, then put this gel on the teeth. They keep your mouth open with some kind of clamp & then shine a powerful light on them. I can't remember what the light is but the whole process is one hour & you're finished. No trays, nothing. It's not uncomfortable and there's a tv that drops down from the ceiling, so you can watch anything you want to pass the time. I forget the cost because I had it done as part of a package of work. Swapping mercury fillings for white etc. I had very yellow teeth from being given antibiotics so young. I reckon it lasted about 10yrs for me. Others will be different. Obviously, your diet affects how well it lasts & how good you clean/take care of your teeth.

Prof Hunt did mine. I'm not sure if you can't get a discount if you allow students to do it. It's worth asking

My dentist said that the laser sessions are good for when you are short on time, but not as long lasting as the gel and home trays (her teeth are pretty glow in the dark and she does offer both so I’m minder to believe her). It costs £350 for the trays and home kit and appointments with mine and that’s west London.

I think moulds and bleach is probably the standard.

I had them but just because I wanted cosmetic veneers and had to bleach them up first.

They did a better job of bleaching my gums then my teeth though lol.
