What’s Happening In Your House?

Feeling fed up so thought I’d start a comforting thread! I’m pissed off with DH, even more so because he seems oblivious! DD13 is lurking in her room but has been out for at least 3 walks today ( she is school refusing). DH is making ham & cheese omelettes later & I’ll throw some chips in. I have a couple of letters to write but probably won’t do them tonight. Will no doubt chill in front of Corrie & catch up with Doctors. It’s my turn to put the rabbits to bed. Oh the excitement lol 🤣

DH upstairs nursing his covid which he has had for 7days. He seems absolutely fine but has taken to his bed. He's never sick so I think he thinks this is what you do. I've been up since 6am, walked two dogs, emptied dishwasher, put bins out, mopped up dog sick, worked 10 hours whilst serving the sick one meals and drinks, walked dogs again, done some laundry and am now sat with GnT and cake in a mug wondering how everyone in the family takes to their bed when sick and I never do.
I am being unreasonable but I'm very very tired and fancy 10 days shut away in a serviced apartment....

I'm collapsed on the sofa with ds2 watching masterchef. Ds1 is playing rugby and Dh is watching. I was going to go too but I'm full of cold so opted out.

I'm sitting in my comfy chair, eating a stick of rock! My colleague went to the seaside at the weekend & I said "ooooh...bring some rock back", so she did! I'd forgotten she'd even been on Monday when she handed it to me, then forgot about it again until this evening! But I'm enjoying it now 😋😋

Dd1 got back from a 3 day residential this evening. She's talked about it for 3 hours 🤣 my ears are bleeding! She even sat on the toilet lid, while I was in the shower, so she could carry on telling me about it 🤯🙄

Dd2 was doing the extra tasks their school maths website sets, because she was bored 🤷‍♀️

I'm not far off ready for bed, & will be sending the girls as I go. I've walked an extra 3 miles today (on top of a normal school day) & am knackered 😴

Might finish my brew & read a chapter of my book first though.

It's morning in Melbourne, with cool autumn weather but will warm up later. I'm having my morning cuppa before listening to The Archers, then taking the dog for a walk. It's quiet, as always.

Sorry for your loss @bloodywhitecat, that’s very sad to hear.
I’m in Sydney, and the Telstra bloke is here trying to fix our internet. Kids are at school and my DH is currently on a plane somewhere above India according to Flightdata - first time any of us in our family have left New South Wales in two years.
