Buying Easter eggs for people - help please!

So. I've offered to buy a couple of boxes of mini egg type treats for the Holiday Hunger bags being put together by DS's school. (What was actually in there made me a bit sad when we were filling the bags. Honestly, if anybody thinks folks do this for fun they want seeing to, they really do. Anyway. We wanted to put a little treaty thing in that is of no nutritional worth or benefit whatsoever - just for a little tiny bit of joy.)

I know how many bags we need. I don't know (and nor do I want to) who they're going to, so I don't know about dietary requirements.

Does anybody have any help for me! Where to get them (thinking Amazon just for ease of delivery to school but?) what eggs to get to make sure we can be inclusive - appreciate that makes me sound a bit of a dick but I'm trying to make sure everybody can have something? Anything else really?

If you don't know about dietary requirements then it's hard.....Chocolate rules out vegans and those who are allergic to dairy.....many sweets rule out many vegetarians, vegans and those who follow a Halal diet because they contain gelatine or there's animal products in the colourings.
I'm thinking something like these but I can't see ingredients listed (they should be available somewhere!) www.amazon.co.uk/Haribo-Easter-Eggs-Galore-Sharing/dp/B08XN38L25/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=haribo+easter&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&qid=1648030191&sr=8-5

Sorry no help on the ‘what’ but if you’re able to get to a Costco, that could be worth a look as you can get the big wholesale boxes of chocolates etc. which often work out cheaper

The ones sold in Costco, Aldi and Lidl are usually nut free.
The school will know who is receiving them though and will be aware of dietary needs so can't you just ask if there needs to be any bags with alternatives. All you need to know is "yes could you do 3 vegan" or whatever - you won't know which children that applies to so no privacy issues.

I'd do a mini chocolate egg (ie Easter theemed)for all, but tell people that's what you are doing, and ask if any bags, are being generated where this will be a problem.
Then find an individual solution to that dietary restriction.

I don't think you're going to be completely inclusive, without spoiling the enjoyment for the majority or significantly increasing the cost.

Plus the rest of the bag is unlikely to be vegan and nut and/or gluten free anyway, unless someone specifies this as a requirement?

I'd go for something mass market and generic, Smarties eggs or whatever is available within budget, and then make it clear that if anyone needs a vegan, nut free, coeliac friendly bag, etc that they should ask and then a suitable bag will be supplied.

Otherwise, many children who don't have these requirements might not want the treat they get, as vegan ones will be very dark chocolate and probably quite plain, rather than something fun for a child.

Aldi have quite a lot of Easter treats in at the moment and quite a lot of nut free/vegan ones too. They have the usual Smarties type ones too and smaller lollipop type things.

Ask the school I am chair of pta and we do an egg hunt for the children. I usually get given a list
130 eggs
1 non-dairy
3 no nuts
2 diabetic
So no linking back to children and children hand in their token they have found for their treat at school office so the office staff give to correct children.
I am assuming your treats to go in the bag could be done in a similar way....it's a lovely idea OP Thanks
