Good morning all! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just enjoying my first cuppa of the day. I have the kitchen window open so I can hear the birds singing away & the distant noise of the main road. I'm going to get the washer going in a minute, the weather outside looks lovely 🌞

Everyone's still in bed at the mo, but the girls are off into town for lunch with their dad & Mother's Day shopping. Dd1 must remember toothpaste too, for her residential!

I'm going to clean and tidy upstairs, while they're out. It's a bit of a mess & really needs the hoover shoved round/bathroom properly cleaned.

Hopefully I'll have time to iron & do my Rainbows/Guides prep for Tuesday too, but if not I'll do it tomorrow.

I haven't got a clue what's for tea yet, considering frozen fish since me & dd1 cooked a new dish last night, but I'll decide later on.

What about all of you? :)

We've just finished eating breakfast. DH is taking the DC out shopping then to soft play while I catch up on some work. Might do a film or board game night tonight.

PhoboPhobia · 19/03/2022 09:12

DH has gone to the tip. I’m going good shopping when he gets back.

Long dog walk before lunch.

This afternoon we are prepping our caravan as we are going on our first trip if the year next Saturday. Can’t wait!!

AllotmentTime · 19/03/2022 09:13

Morning all

I’m on my second coffee but need to get going to take the DC swimming soon.

While I do that DH will be shopping for a DIY project he wants to do.

Hoping to get to the allotment after lunch. We’re all out tomorrow so also need to fit in homework and a bit of cleaning today.

Dinner is jacket potatoes plus various random bits so that’s easy enough. I will be looking forward to an episode of The Witcher later as well, once the DC are in bed.

Enjoy your day everyone Flowers

Morning all. Glorious day on the kent / London borders.

Wash day here too - done coats and first load.

We all woke naturally and happy which is a novelty - not a morning family usually - which must be the weather.

Boys and husband have gone to football training. I’ll do some chores then picky lunch and lazy day. I’m slowly organising for ds2 first residential trip - Shock - next week. There is homework but generally a slow potter type day. Busy calendar next week so needed. I think it will be breakfast tea.

Have a lovely day everyone.

Jules912 · 19/03/2022 09:28

I'm still in Covid jail so a lazy day for me, I am at least starting to feel slightly better. DH and the kids are now clear so he'll be taking them to all their activities.

BeastOfBODMAS · 19/03/2022 09:29

I have an hour to myself as DH taken the 4 month old out.

I’ve put a wash on and am drinking tea out of a proper mug instead of a leakproof thermal supply cup.

I have forgotten what to do with downtime so just sitting here like a stunned mullet

Icequeen01 · 19/03/2022 09:38

It's gorgeous here too so I'm going to take my elderly DM out to Leeds Castle. She can't get about very well now due to arthritis in one of her knees and she doesn't drive. Last year we encouraged her to get a mobility scooter which can go in my car and it's been a game changer. I can now take her out to places to give her a change of scenery and I want to keep her mind active as her short term memory isn't great since lockdown.

DH will be on the golf course all day as usual and DS22 has a day off work so will sleep half the day away I presume!

maddiemookins16mum · 19/03/2022 10:05

Hi, up early, house spotless, Aldi shop done, 2 washes out and I’m making bacon butties. Off to see SIL (sadly she has stomach cancer and is not great at present), I’m so very fond of her and my heart breaks to see MIL and DH watch her get worse, knowing that it’s unlikely she’ll be with us much longer.
We have friends coming round tonight for a games night with a Takeaway.
It’s a lovely day, my favourite time of year.

We were going to do Leeds Castle tomorrow, but doing Walmer instead now.

Love these threads!

I have been up since 4 with DS 😬 we have been shopping to get some lovely nibbles and face masks etc for a girls night in I'm having with DD later. DP is renovating a house so saw him for the first time in a week last night which was lovely. Sun is shining and DS is playing in his sandpit while I relax for a bit before we go to pick DD up.

mamaduckbone · 19/03/2022 10:17

I've had coffee and been for a run whilst Dh and ds2 do the food shop. Ds1 is up and mooching about but has said he fancies coming for a walk with us so we'll head to the woods for an hour when Dh is back.
Then the boys are both out this afternoon so Dh and I might do some gardening or go out for another walk - it's so glorious here.
Rugby and curry tonight, and a glass of wine or two.

AiryFairy1 · 19/03/2022 10:21

Love all the lovely weather celebration on here Smile

I've hung some washing OUTSIDE, put another load on, dishie's on and I've started the pulled pork off in the slow cooker - appliances unite!

Kids are having a great time on the trampoline (not toooo much screaming but lots of laughter!)

I'll probably do some gardening, but my main objective is summer wardrobe shopping online for the kids and I, as we're all a bit scruffy after getting by with minimal new stuff over the past 2 years (I kept expecting lockdowns and didn't want nice new stuff for just being at home and then grown out of)

Shehasadiamondinthesky · 19/03/2022 10:25

I am off to Ham Hill country park in Somerset (up the road and going for a good long walk, I want to see how many wild flowers I can identify.

REP22 · 19/03/2022 10:26

Good morning! Today I am having an office chair delivered. Recently moved back to my own home after staying with/caring for elderly mum during Covid; my house is so tiny it can't accommodate office space.

Tired of working lying on the floor (the only comfortable position) with the dog lying on my shoulders and back like some grotesque comedy canine parody of Long John Silver's parrot. It's not a good look in Teams meetings.

Exciting! Grin Now the dog and I are watching the birds on our bird feeders (she tolerates them because of the myriad local cats they attract to the vicinity, at which she delights in shouting filth Blush).

Have a lovely weekend and keep smiling. x

TheBestSpoon · 19/03/2022 10:30

Today hasn't had the best start: toddler DS has been pretty much constantly ill this year (currently an ear infection) and DH was out with work last night - he wasn't particularly late or drunk, but they were both tired and grumpy this morning! Meanwhile I'm 38 weeks pregnant and frankly moving is getting challenging. So a lazy day today: DH has taken DS to his football class while I tackle the house a bit, then we'll probably just potter. We were going to go swimming this afternoon but ear infection has put paid to that. Having burgers for dinner which hopefully will cheer everyone up, then I intend to collapse into bed as soon as possible this evening.

LBOCS2 · 19/03/2022 10:31

Gardening! Lots of vitamin D, just doing a big sort out and tidy up of the sad looking beds and pots. I've been buying bits and pieces to plant so I need to get those in the ground, and if I completely run out of anything else to do (unlikely) I may even weed under the roses at the front of the house.

But first... we've just got back from Irish dancing lessons, and need to turn around and go back out for swimming lessons 🙄

TheBestSpoon · 19/03/2022 10:33

Oh, and also trying to sort out DS's teddy which was stolen by a dog in the park yesterday - luckily looks like it's just dog slobber and dirt rather than any structural damage. I was fuming - the owner had four dogs off lead in a small suburban park right next to the playground with absolutely zero recall of any of them. Greer!

MrsDThomas · 19/03/2022 10:34

4 mountains walk at 11:30. Out all day doing something i love.

OldTinHat · 19/03/2022 10:42

Morning all!

I'm still in bed (have just caught up with the soaps!), all the windows are open to air up the house (hence bed, it's warm in here!).

Just about to get up then will treat myself to a sandwich from the bakery and take it and my new book to the park for the afternoon. I'd like to sit in my garden but my neighbour's leylandi (sp?) are so tall that they've blocked all the light.

Happy weekend everyone!

Thisisit2022 · 19/03/2022 10:52

I don't enjoy being in crowds of people at all so I tend to venture out more in the colder weather than days like today when it looks like you're all going out! 😂 Early dart from work yesterday so did my washing and changed my bedding then so I could have a freer weekend (other than batch cooking tomorrow). After a mad busy week I'm having a happy duvet day.

EsmeeMerlin · 19/03/2022 10:56

We were up early and have finished the housework and have two loads of washing out on the line. Dh is home today and it’s very rare he has a day off on the weekend so we are taking our two sons to our local small theme park where we have annual passes and then ds2 wants to play on the beach. I want to pop to the library at one point too. Burgers for dinner later.

Doughnuts68 · 19/03/2022 12:54

Sunny day here too

lucysmam · 19/03/2022 18:34

Well, they went for toothpaste & Mother's Day presents...they also came back with random cactai for me 🤣🌵. I enjoyed the peace to potter, clean, and have a brew with my dad when he called to drop off some trousers he wants taken up.

We had chicken burgers for tea, accompanied by a couple of glasses of wine for me. & we're just about to get showers (not all together!)

I hope you've all had a lovely day & enjoyed the sunshine 🌞

Good morning all! What's everyone up to today?
