Stuck at home with Covid. How to pass the time? TV recs

I'm home alone with Covid. Any tips for passing the time? I have pretty bad fatigue so keep that in mind.

Reckon I'll be off work for another week. Any ideas welcome. I'm finding my mind is drifting and I'm feeling really depressed already. Not sure if it's Covid making me depressed or just because so much time alone and not able to busy myself.

Help!

If you don't mind subtitles / dubs, I recommend Elite on Netflix, it really draws you in!

Hello, I am in the same boat as you, on day 5 of isolation and feeling like crap.
For some reason, unbeknownst to me, I have been craving period dramas, so have watched Pride and Prejudice, Effie Gray, Death comes to Pemberly, A room with a view. Also listened to Agnes Grey on audible.
May not be your thing, but there seems to be something quite soothing about it!

Hope you feel better soon.

I watched Joe vs Carole. A drama about Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin. Not everyone's taste though. I loved Kate McKinnon in it.

Not for now but if you're feeling a bit better in a day or two I would recommend doing some yoga. I started doing some short you tube videos when I was at home with Covid when starting to feel a bit better - yoga with Adrienne. It really helped me mentally.

Netflix -
how to get away with murder
Tinder swindler
Inventing Anna

LizzieMacQueen · 17/03/2022 11:21

The gogglebox crowd are good to hang around and you can watch old ones on all4. Maybe you'll see something on that you like. I use it as a casual TV guide.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 17/03/2022 11:21

The Gilded Age (New York’s downton abbey), is keeping me entertained through covid.

MyDcAreMarvel · 17/03/2022 11:23

The Americans on prime is really good
Also orphan black on Netflix

Myshitisreal · 17/03/2022 11:24

Any planning writing lists etc?

Definitely open to non-tv suggestions!

List making is a brilliant suggestion and might help clear my head a little.

Oh it's awful isn't it. Miserable! Hope you feel better soon too.

I can understand the wanting to watch something soothing! I tried a crime thriller and it sent me spiralling. I had to give up after a few episodes.

Ohhhh that's good. Is Christmas planning a step too far?learn to crochet? 😊

gogohm · 17/03/2022 15:21

I'm still testing neg but dp has tested positive ... looks likely I'll be binging on Netflix too

Jules912 · 17/03/2022 15:55

I've been doing a lot of reading as DS also has Covid and the overlap between what he wants to watch and what I want to us very small (plus can't have the tv on while he does school work) so if you have a kindle suggest finding some nice easy reads.

MsTSwift · 17/03/2022 16:00

Same boat. Yoga?! I can only just about stagger to the loo.

JemimaMuddledUp · 17/03/2022 16:21

I'm on Day 3.

So far have watched series 1 and 2 of Motherland on Netflix. Am now watching The Dropout on Disney+.

I watched Inventing Anna a couple of weeks ago, but that would be perfect for now. Also Emily in Paris. May re-watch them both.

I'm finding I can't read at all, which is frustrating as I normally read lots. So rubbish TV is keeping me company.

TheDolphinHotel · 17/03/2022 17:25

I'm the same. Had a few lovely days out planned for this weekend and instead I'm lying on the sofa feeling awful. I'm watching lots of shite... Grey's Anatomy, Station 19, Scream, Workin' Moms. Mostly I'm feeling rubbish, so I sympathise with you. It's crap, isn't it?

TheDolphinHotel · 17/03/2022 17:27

Also, do the lung exercises, breath stacking etc. They will help and also give you something to do

ThePontiacBandit · 17/03/2022 17:29

Right there with you, I’m day 7 now. LFTs not getting better yet. I’ve been bingeing Taskmaster on All4. I’ve never watched it before but it’s hilarious, light hearted and daft and great fun! Highly recommend to pass the time, plus my brain is working thinking how I’d approach the tasks.

I've just watched Weekend Away. Was quite good

Twiceover · 17/03/2022 17:42

Also had Covid this week. Enjoyed:
This is going to hurt (iplayer)
This is us (Prime) -this was great, easy to watch and quite entertaining and heartwarming.
Nine Perfect Strangers (Prime) actually pretty terrible but looks amazing and the trippy vibe fit in with how I was feeling.
Hope you feel better soon.
