If you were going to Disneyland AND Paris…

Would you stay near Disneyland and travel to Paris centre, or stay near the centre and travel to Disneyland? (Changing hotels not possible as it’s a package deal). Planning to do a couple days in each. Any advice gratefully appreciated :)

I'd stay near Disneyland because I'd assume that would be cheaper?

If you can actually stay in Disneyland Paris though op, there's a train actually in the complex. We stayed in the Sequoa Lodge (sp sorry, it's been a while!) and did a Paris day trip and couldn't have been easier.

I’d stay near Disney, then you can still watch the fireworks every evening 🤭 there’s a train station literally at the entrance of the Disney park so would be super easy to get in and out to Paris centre.

I stayed in Torcy.
It’s about three stops from the park, a hell of a lot cheaper and the hotels are right on the railway.
I bought a daily fare thing that enabled me to train hop into Paris itself and spent a few days exploring and popping up out of the metro when I fancied a wander.

Stay at Disney as you want to get there early and stay late to see everything and we were way too exhausted after a day there to have traveled back to Paris 😊

Us too, really cheap family rooms, close to the direct train line into Paris and just 2 or 3 stops to Disney. Very frequent trains meaning we were in early enough for rope-drop and late enough for fireworks.

Not what you've asked... but we've saved a ton booking separately. Disney package including the tickets in termtime was same price as the tickets!! Then a non disney hotel for a few nights which means our disney days are full days and pur non disny days dont have disney tickets included. We're staying nearby dinsey and training into paris. So looking forwards to it.

Porkbuttsandtaters · 17/03/2022 21:23

Stay near Disney definitely so you can stay in the park till late and it’s not far back to the room. Train to Paris right on the Disney site, takes under an hour.

WelshyMaud · 19/03/2022 10:37

Also not what you've asked lol...but if you want to stay in DLP on UK school hols you can also save a ton of money by booking through a different website - the French or German DLP sites.
You have to use Google translate but a friend of mine saved hundreds by doing this because the prices on the German site for DLP weren't inflated during UK school hols. Also the case for things like Eurocamp where the foreign websites are often much cheaper than .co.uk.

SheriffCallie · 19/03/2022 11:10

Depends on how you plan on splitting your time. We did it recently, we wanted more time sightseeing in Paris itself, so stayed there, and got the train to DLP on the day. If you wanted more days in the parks, and just a quick visit to the city, then staying near or at the park would make more sense.

Dontlickthetrolley · 19/03/2022 11:45

Another vote for Torcy, although avoid Hotel Premiere Class . B and B is a good hotel just 5 minutes from the RER. A massive shopping centre 10 minute walk away. The last train from Disney is about 12.15 so if you're at the parks when they're open later, you can still get back

TheEarthIsNotFlat · 19/03/2022 11:53

We stayed in an AirBnB close to Paris City Centre. The metro is so easy to navigate to Euro Disney that is was fine. The reason we chose the city centre was that it’s closer to the airport and we could dump our bags and get on with the holiday. We were in the queue for the Eiffel Tower within about 3 hours of landing 😆

I’ve heard this before, is it easy to access the foreign websites?
WelshyMaud · 22/03/2022 21:39

@TheEarthIsNotFlat yes, you can just Google 'German DLP' and the German site pops up, then use translate.

I just tried a comparison out of interest - 4 nights in Davy Crockett in August for 5.

I entered all the same party and date details and it came up as £1,940 on the German site (Euro equivalent using today's exchange rates) and for exactly the same hol was £2,360 on the UK site! Over £400 cheaper on the German site.
