Lots of leaves but no flowers on spring bulbs

I bought bulbs in flower last Spring and have been hoping for a pretty display this year on the bakers rack I have by our back door. However all I have is a lot of leaves, not a flower in sight. The bulbs are dwarf narcissi, including Tete a Tete, Minnow and Puablo bought from our reputable nursery. Any ideas please? Should I dump the lot or is there hope for next year?

That’s helpful Gladys thank you. @BewareTheBeardedDragon could I ask what pueblo are? I have googled.

@BlueFlavour they are a type of highly scented daffodil!

Thank you!
I can’t find them! I’ll have another look Smile

Found them, thank you. Going to get some this autumn. Scented daffodils are a joy.

Mine are all the same in my back garden, except they're well spaced, the right depth and have been in for 3 years, flowering for the last 3 as well. I feed them too. Just an excess of leaves. Front garden is full of flowering bulbs.

I have just checked my pot of Pueblo and they now have two flower spikes coming but last week when I bought them there was definitely just leaves. I'm SE and the pot is sat in full sun. Good luck OP

No buds. I have scattered some chicken manure pellets to see if that gives them a boost. The weather has been v. mixed here but hopefully warming up. Good point about the bulbs I bought last year having been forced on. The funny thing is the writing on the labels I put in the pots has washed off (pen that came with them!) so until they flower I don't really know what's what! Regardless I'll consolidate them into bigger deeper pots for next year.😊

Probably lack of water last year. I water my pots of bulbs regularly if it's dry, and give them a feed every so often (seaweed feed).

Tulips and later-flowering narcissi won't be doing anything yet, it's too early for most varieties to see buds. I have one pot of early tulips about to flower but the rest have only been above ground a few weeks.
