Any dentists around?

My 7 year old DS has a liver transplant and is on the waiting list to assess for ASD.
He is a chewer and always messes with his mouth and tonight he told me his tooth was wobbly after he "pushed" it. He shown me and its his first top molar on the right and he had quite a bit of blood in his mouth.
Turns out that he's been pushing it because it "feels good" and it wasn't wobbly till he started messing with it.

Looking online, he's not supposed to lose that tooth till at least 9.

Do I need to take him to the dentist now he's made that tooth wobbly and how on earth can I stop him damaging his teeth going forward?

It wouldn’t be massively unusual to lose it early. The order the teeth are shed are more important than that age.
Has he lost his front top and bottom 4 teeth yet?
A checkup would be a good idea, but don’t panic yet.

Yes, he's lost both top and bottom front ones.
They have all been in a funny order to be fair.
The last tooth he lost was his top front right one, even though he'd already lost the one next to it before it.

To be honest even if he is encouraging the baby teeth out a bit early, he won’t damage the adult underneath.
I’d go for discouraging, but equally not making a big deal out of it.
Take him to the dentist and they might be able to put him off a bit too.

That’s normal. Canines and primary second molars are the last to be lost. Incisors first, then first molars, then canines/second molars. It’s a bit confusing that they don’t all go front to back Grin

That's good to know. I assumed they went in order.
He got teeth really early, so started losing them early too.
He had his first tooth at a few months old.
