Good morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just about to finish my first cuppa of the day. No-one else is up so it's lovely and peaceful down here. Dd1's been a bit under the weather so I don't expect to see her for a few hours yet.

There's some washing & general tidying to be done before we head into town. And I need to think of something for tea 🤔

I have a small list to buy & dd1 needs to pick up a couple of things for her residential that's coming up. Dd2's coming just because she wants to 🤣

I'm hoping to get a couple of hours at my crochet project later on - I haven't touched it all week, and need to do a little prep for Rainbows and Guides on Tuesday but that might wait until tomorrow, we'll see.

Day 7 of Covid here and still testing positive so no shopping for us today.

The sun is shining though so I may go for a potter around the garden and have a tidy up of the greenhouse. I also need to phone Sarah Raven to order some bulbs (can't do it online as I have vouchers that can only be used by phone or post!)

I've also been sleeping in the spare room but once DH is up I'm going back into my bed for breakfast and a watch of the news.

I've put some washing on and hoping to get it hung out.

I am sat at the breakfast table, looking out at DH's daffodils dancing in the sunshine. He would've loved today, he'd be itching to get out and 'do'. The babies are eating chocolate spread on toast and I am drinking coffee. Once breakfast is done we are off shopping for an outfit for me to say my final goodbye to DH in. Nothing black, he wants no black. Colours all the way, I shall buy something to make him riotously proud.

I was up at 7 with the dog, he's been fed and will have a walk later. He's snoozing at the moment. DH has football this morning so he's sorting out his team sheet and DSs are having a lazy morning as they had a late night last night - it was DS1s birthday and he had a party in the evening. I need to have a shower and change the beds this morning but am feeling tired as yesterday was a very busy day.

This afternoon we are going to drop a card off at the in-laws in the next town and then go and get the dog some more food from a fabulous raw food place we have found. Not sure what's for dinner or what we're doing this evening yet. Possibly an early night all round!

Today DS has a birthday party so we are killing time until then. The baby was awake at 7 and we've all piled back into bed because she's gone for a nap. Starving now! Really need to do a food shop because breakfast options are v limited. Might end up being chocolate

Walking into town with 4yo DS1 in a bit to go to the library and market. Then a baby group reunion trip to the park and out for pizza. DH and DS1 are doing Go Ape. This afternoon DH is taking both DC to a birthday party so I can get some work done.

I also am looking out at the daffodils in the garden with a morning cup of coffee - we moved at the end of summer and I'm enjoying the surprise of seeing all the spring bulbs appearing.

Dh is going to do the food shop shortly with ds2 whilst I have a tidy and get myself dressed, then we'll have a walk into town for a few bits and maybe a coffee. Ds2 might come or might have plans with friends, ds1 has work this afternoon and will probably sleep until then since he's wiped out from mocks.

We'll watch the rugby this afternoon, homemade pizza and a glass of red this evening.

I am heading into our local city centre to meet 30 women at crochet/knitting group, then will pop to a few shops and grab lunch while I'm there. I haven't seen the group since pre lockdown, so it will be lovely to see everyone.

So a few hours off mum/wife duty!

Going to a child's birthday party later. Trying to get myself out of bed (depression). Trying to appreciate the sunshine - I have the curtains open at least.

Food shop, baking with DC today we're making cookies and chocolate fudge cake and a bit of pokèmon on the switch if I get time to unwind.
Had a very stressful week so not planning to overdo things as my EDS is playing up.

I've been up since half five. Got some housework done and put washing on the line. Did some school work with DD and now she is playing with Lego before swimming.
DD is sleeping out so after we drop her off we are going to the city for the afternoon. But I'm 39 weeks pregnant and look awful in everything so I'm putting off getting dressed

Raining now so washing on the airer but still hope to get in the garden. DH has just left to do the shopping so may have another cuppa first 😀

Drinking cup of tea in bed. Have to clear spare bedroom and sand and paint the windows in there today. MIL coming to live with us next week 🙈😭

Good morning. A quiet one today because we had such a busy weekend last weekend plus I hurt my back in the garden and spent the first half of the week limping.

Just waiting on my crossiant coming out of the oven which I'm going to have with coffee. Then I've got the budgies to clean out and get them socialising together. He is the new boy in town and she is 6 and lost her partner recently. Its not going all that well but will keep at it. Ds is a little under the weather so he is happy to have a duvet day. Dh is night shift so a lazy day for him aswell.

Pulled pork for tea and might have my last glass of wine in the bottle. I agree a Sunday thread would be good! 🙂

I was up and out early for when Aldi opened at 8am, week shopping for 3 for £44.18 (so much cheaper than Asda).
Just had bacon butties. DH has done all the housework and changed the bed and did two washes too. He’s popped out to see a friend for coffee.
I’m about to sort/clean the fridge and put the base of a cottage pie (for Sunday dinner) in the slow cooker.
I’m then going to chill all afternoon, might watch Killing Eve too.
Chicken kebabs, flat bread and salad for tea tonight (oh and homemade yoghurt/garlic dip).
DD is in the shower and then off to her Saturday job in the tearoom in town (12-5).
DMIL is at church helping with the cleaning and flowers and when she gets back we’ll have tea and toasted HCB’s for lunch.
Lovely lazy weekend ahead.

I have just realised I’ve used my last teabag! 😱😭 This is quite a catastrophe here as it’s hard to find imported British tea - have to drive to a specific supermarket across the border in France and really cannot be arsed 🥺

I was feeling all productive until I came in here some of you are serious early birds!!

I’ve done half an hour of work and hung some washing out, need to get the next load on. DH has taken the DC swimming. They’ll be home soon and then it’ll be homework and a bit of organising to do before DCat arrives tomorrow I am very excited!!

Also could do with doing some cleaning, as I’ve just been in the en suite with my lenses in and it’s shocking. Normally when I’m in there I’m blind as a bat - I obviously haven’t been seeing the dust!!

So excited for today ! Still lying in bed after a late night watching cricket with DD. Shortly off to town to buy a new engagement ring to celebrate our upcoming silver wedding 💍 Then nice dinner out and we’ll find somewhere to watch the match ⚽️

I have been working this morning and will shortly be going out for a very nice tapas lunch with a friend I haven’t seen for a while.

Then I will spend the rest of the day cuddling the dog and learning material for a presentation I am doing tomorrow morning.

Firstly @bloodywhitecat sorry for your loss. I hope you find the perfect outfit.

Got woken at 8 by the boys arguing and then had a text from h saying that I had to take the boys football. Not w great start and I ended up shouty mum. However I got the first wash on and then took them there - it’s 1.5 mile walk - on time for 9 30. Back now - picky lunch - fresh bread, ham, cheeses, pickle, scotch eggs and salad.
Need to do a couple more loads - small machine, Tidy house. And Homework. Then we are out to sil - niece has turned 10 today - for dinner.

DH and I went out at 9. I did MILs shopping and he took the dog for a quick walk. Had a coffee with MIL and did a few jobs for her.

Just having lunch then I have two rooms that need seriously decluttering and cleaning. DH is installing our new bath.

Will take the dog out for a longer walk later then a nice quiet night as DH/DS going to the cinema and DD out with friends.

Not a lot. Stuck the dishwasher on/emptied bins and made a coffee this morning then got back into bed. Now waiting for food shop to arrive.

Everyone is out at work so only me and the DCats to entertain.

Will be going out for dinner later.
