Hey everyone, im new here but thought I'd ask for some reasurnace. So I'm a mummy of 3 children youngest being 13 months and im currently 27 weeks pregnant with my 4th and final baby. I went and got measured at the midwives with the dreaded measuring tape and I was measuring 28 instead of 27. So went for a growth scan. At the scan, her head was measuring 70th centile, while her wee abdomen was only 15th. All in all she is sitting on the 10th centile and I cant stop worrying. My first born son was born on the 7th centile 13 years ago before all of these scans. Second son was 17th. And my 13 month old was 40th. The thing that's really concerning me the most is the difference in size of these measurements and the fact her 20 week scan was absolutely fine. They are going to keep me monitored. Im just so scared its something I've done as I have been very stressed and upset during this pregnancy. Has anyone had these kind of measurements and they've all worked out in the end?! Please send your love my way tonight, im really finding things hard to cope with xx

If I recall correctly, big head-little belly is much better than little head-big belly. Our daughter was on a similar scale and she is just fine now. She had craniosynostosis but it's totally commonplace to manage that now. The silver lining is that you will get many more scans now, more opportunities to see her sweet little face till she joins you. Our girl was under the 7th centile when she was born with a massive noggin, but it wasn't obvious looking at her. Now I think she's around the 30th centile (still with a massive head. But she looks totally normal/beautiful!) And she is nailing all of her milestones. Remember that the imaging technology is imprecise. You are going to be ok, ask lots of questions when you're at the dr (write them down so you don't forget) and enjoy seeing her more often!
