How many of you use a wooden toothbrush?

Trying to cut back on single use plastic and tooth brushes are an obvious one. I bought a Colgate bamboo one and I don't know if it's just I need to get used to the shape of it but it's not cutting the mustard tbh! Anyone use one they could recommend? I think it's the shape that's the issue for me.

I do, I am not as keen on it, think it is the shape of the handle and feel of the bristles. I think it does just as good a job though if i am careful, so I am keeping on with it.

I've been using bamboo toothbrushes for a while now. Pick a medium or firm brush and get them off Amazon as you can buy packs of 5 and it's much cheaper.

Tried one. All the bristles fell out within a week. Gave up on them.

I have the Colgate bamboo one too. I like it because it’s soft, which is difficult to find in a toothbrush these days.

I’m not the best person to ask though, I have major sensory issues and despise brushing my teeth. Every time is a struggle no matter what I use so I just suffer through with the best of a bad bunch Blush

Yes, im using one i was given in the goody bag on a flight! It's basic but I actually love it, although it took ages to get used to it. It does feel hard to begin with.

My issue is it feels way too soft. I clearly need to shop around a bit.

They are so cheap on Amazon Shock

Some look a bit more like the shape I get on with too, so curved bristles rather than just flat.

I had that problem and was recommended a tepe one on here. It’s brilliant. You get them in waitrose. Really good

I do, I get mine from the local refill shop. Its very firm and I don't think its any different then the plastic one i used before.

MandUs · 11/03/2022 16:26

We use the bamboo ones. Love them.

I should add they aren’t bamboo but are sugar cane.

I don't as they don't seem to make biodegradable electric toothbrush heads and I am useless at using a manual one.
