Can anyone recommend a clinic in London for freezing eggs at age 43?

Hi there, I am 43 and have decided I want to freeze my eggs, I'm very much hoping this will mean I can conceive when I find a partner.
I am feeling over whelmed having researched a fair amount of clinics in London and not sure which one to choose, so I was wondering if anyone could recommend a clinic where they have had this treatment? Perhaps at a similar age to me too? Thank you :)

At your age argc definitely. They are the best for older women

Sorry ARGC!

Have you seen a fertility specialist about this? In the kindest possible way, at 43 they may determine that this isn’t viable.

Talk to ARGC who are the best, but at age 43 your eggs are very unlikely to produce a viable embryo, you’d be much better off wth a donor egg. Sorry :(

Also be aware that the procedure isn’t painless, my ‘egg collection’ left me in pain for months.

At 43 you really need to be getting on with having a baby by yourself if you really want one.

MistySkiesAfterRain · 11/03/2022 08:40

London Womens Clinic or have a look at your IVF journey which uses a clinic in Czech Republic which has higher success rates.

I looked into it age 40 and to be honest the impression I got was I should freeze my eggs then or not at all.

MistySkiesAfterRain · 11/03/2022 08:42

Women freezing eggs age 36-39 had a 3.3% success rate of live birth. There was no data for women freezing eggs age 40+.

Ask the clinic about their success rates. The first step is a fertility MOT.

Thank you! I have contacted them, the receptionist said that they don't usually advise freezing eggs at my age where as all the others I have spoken to have not mentioned this, rather that they would invite me in for a consultation, I guess maybe it is a good sign that the receptionist at ARGC is more honest..Thanks again

@Thewindwhispers
Thank you for your message. And for your honesty, so do you mean that if I was to have IVF (with a sperm donor) it would not be likely that I could produce a viable embryo?? As I hav heard very much otherwise, or do you mean that the freezing process would affect this chance at my age?? Thank you

No one can say unless you have a fertility test. Fertility falls off a cliff post 40. You may be lucky but no one here can tell you.

AuxArmesCitoyens · 12/03/2022 07:41

TBh at 43 I think you are wasting your time. Look at donor eggs, a friend of mine had a baby at 43 via a donor egg from a donor in Spain.

Runaomi4 · 12/03/2022 07:41

@MrsBerthaRochester
Thank you, can I ask why you think this? I really am concerned myself that I should find a sperm donor, but with so many different opinions and womens experiences it gets confusing, women are choosing to freeze their eggs at my age, so I am ofcourse feeling that there must be some hope as they wouldn't spend so much money if there wasn't...

I think any clinic who would do this at 43 are just after your money op. Really sorry to say that.

Runaomi4 · 12/03/2022 07:43

@Clymene
This is the most important factor, thank you, I think I am wanting answers way too soon! But I am just interested to know of any experiences of this...thanks again

I agree that any clinic offering this to you will get the full benefit of your money and you will get a lot of heartache and no baby. Sorry to sound harsh. Go for finding sperm now but you must understand the chances are still slim.

Clymene · 12/03/2022 08:00

Most clinics won't because their success rates are what get women through the door.

drpet49 · 12/03/2022 08:03

^This. Harsh as it sounds OP your chances of conceiving at 43 are very slim.

Liveandkicking · 12/03/2022 08:06

Lots of women have IVF successfully in their forties but the vast majority of the time women use donor eggs. Eggs in your 40s are normally not good enough quality.

SandysMam · 12/03/2022 08:07

Wishing you luck though Op, whatever avenue you take Flowers
