If wrapped in clingfilm?

DS a fussy eater and not keen on sandwiches, but loves crackers and cheese and ham.

Thanks

They will be fine. My ds was (still is tbh) a fussy eater and I often did the same for his lunch box

It's fine, DD will also not eat sandwiches (though will eat bread and butter, and slices of cheese as long as the slices of cheese are not placed between 2 bits of bread and butter 😂)

She has one of the below

  • rice cakes with cream cheese
  • crackers with butter
  • mini wrap buttered and rolled up

Then on the side she has cheese or ham or chicken.

I did this for DS and yes they went soft.

FoodieToo · 07/03/2022 18:45

Yes they always do for me anyway . So now , no butter and fillings packed separately .

Always go soft for me - it’s because of the butter, not how they are wrapped/packed.

ClariceQuiff · 07/03/2022 18:49

Could you pack the butter separately - will he have access to a butter knife to add it himself? That's what I've always done with butter or other fillings for a packed lunch.

If you put them in separate compartments or wrap the cheese/ham separately from naked crackers then that works fine. But yes, actually spread with butter they’d go soft.

always go a little (too) soft for my son. I put a seperate little dip pot/egg cup of butter in his packed lunch.

and a little plastic butter knife
