@AdriannaP also maybe don't put down people who have donated in other ways either when they have done what they think is right
Also your assuming people are doing it to look good when maybe they just are doing their best, very judgemental of you

@viques we aren't taking minimum wage though are we and I said some
Lets not pretend every Charity that collects money has been perfect , I simply stated why some are reluctant to give money, something i heat from people quite often as they are concerned maybe the money doesn't get to where intended at times as well

Also many of the places collecting goods here are people who are experienced with sending stuff in situations some have been by charity organisations and they have asked for certain things, its not all been a man with a van
And i worked in logistics I know how hard it can be , but also that the right people know how to do it

@User48751490 Exactly i simply stated what I have heard from
Many people yet got shot down on here , maybe some people who work for these charities need to be transparent and explain how its not so
I didn't say what I believe just what I have heard when helping with raising money over the years
Regardless some of the goods will be welcome and will make it there
Many of the ones around here were charities experienced in such things it was just local people collating and collecting, yes we have customs but its not an impossible task for people that know what they are doing

And I explained why we aren’t talking minimum wage ......... if you are worried that a charity is not spending funds where it is supposed to you can always ask them to provide the expenses breakdown they are legally obliged to provide.by the Charities Commission.

The charities who don’t provide value for money are generally the tiny local ones set up by well meaning individuals which often shadow the aims of larger, more efficient charities but spend proportionally more on outgoings.

@viques again i said it wasn't me just what i hear from many people , also many smaller charities do also do good so please don't slate them whilst saying that all large charities are perfect
There are certain large charities like rspca that I won't donate to as i have found them useless when needed , there are many reasons why some will donate to some charities and not others
Personally I would give money to red cross or something in this scenario , physical items I think are better when donating to say homeless shelters etc when based locally as they will know what they need and ask for
But like it not people are suspect about giving money to some charities and maybe thats is something charities need to work to change

Everyone wants too help, people with family or direct links too Ukraine, Poland, border counties im sure can get proper aid in.
Proper provisions I just think the whole of the EU will be doing the same.
I'm sure the best thing we can do is give money from the UK.
