DC jobs in house

What if any jobs do your children do at home? Mine are 8 & 6 now and I feel they should do more. They do bits when asked, are rubbish at keeping rooms tidy etc so will declutter and start with this. But I would like the 8yo especially to be doing more.

My son has given himself the job of switching the dishwasher on (when I ask him to). He’s 2.5 but better to get started early!

Following because my older two are also 8 and 6 and I'm wondering what's normal! They have to lay the table and clear their own plates. They put their washing in the basket and put away their clean laundry when I ask, though I rarely ask because I usually put it away while they're in the bath/shower. They have to properly tidy their rooms and the playroom once a week so those rooms can get hoovered. I think that's about it!
They will help with ad hoc things when I ask e.g. bringing in the shopping, pegging out washing etc. The 8yo regularly makes us all pancakes for breakfast but that's because she enjoys it rather than because I ask or it's expected of her.

My ds is 13.

To receive his pocket money, he has to make his bed, put his dirty clothes in his laundry bag (not on the floor), bring it downstairs on Saturday morning, and sort the recycling once a week.
If he wants extra money, he can earn £10 for washing and hoovering the car.

9 and nearly 7 here.

As standard, they set and clear the table, make their beds daily, strip their beds once a week to be washed and put the sheets in the washing machine, tidy their rooms, tidy the playroom, and put their clean clothes away.

Ad hoc, they hoover or dust a small patch, wipe their bathroom sink, feed the pets, unload the dishwasher - whatever we ask that needs doing day to day.

We also pay 10p per dog poo picked up in the garden.

Thanks all, I'm going to introduce the table setting/clearing and be harder on the bedrooms as they are a mess! They already sort clothes most of the time too.
