My DH seems to (not often but definitely regularly) have a wet patch on his trousers which is presumably urine that has leaked out after going to the loo? Is this normal? I mention it occasionally if I see him and it's on his suit and he usually just fobs it off or laughs. I've just now seen another bloke his age in a suit with the same thing. Is this a thing?! Should i be buying some sort of pad?

I suppose it depends on how old he is. If he’s over 65, I think it’s acceptable for men to wear small shield shaped pads that stick to the front of pads.
Under that age, I think I’d be encouraging a GP visit

I think it's something to do with their prostate getting enlarged in that it presses on the urethra so that when they pee , urine doesn't empty out as efficiently. So I think he needs to give it an extra minute to let it all drain out. He needn't think it's a laughing matter; nobody will be giving him any extra credit for walking round in smelly, visibly damp trousers.

I think men should wipe after a wee.

My dad has always work a pantry liner as he has an enlarged prostate. He leaves the used ones lying round the bath room though. Angry

StormyWindow · 01/03/2022 16:38

I would be encouraging him to have his prostate checked OP.

Mines the same and he doesn't seem to care, I'd have a wet patch if I didn't wipe after a wee. He only 40. Gives me the ick

BookFiend4Life · 01/03/2022 17:36

Maybe he bought them that way?

Exactly what I was put in mind of!

I think it's not unusual, but it's definitely something he should be looking to reduce. Nobody wants pee on their trousers - the cleaning bills alone should be enough to make him want to avoid this.

bellac11 · 01/03/2022 17:40

Mines the same, although 60, takes ages to go to loo but GP checked him a few years ago and said theres nothing particularly wrong. GPs wont necessarily 'treat' it either if its enlarged which is what I think the outcome was for him

isthismylifenow · 01/03/2022 18:08

I thought 'the shake' was to avoid this?

gunnersgold · 01/03/2022 18:18

I think it's after they have a wee , I used to be a dry cleaner and mens trousers stink because they don't wipe so they leave a spot on their pants which inevitably ends up on their trousers . Gross imo !
