Ryanair with little kids…

Has anyone ever flown Ryanair with small children? I have only flown Ryanair a few times and they are imo the worst airline for any kind of comfort. Least leg space,
small seats. We would be flying for 2 hours and 40 minutes. Will it be OK considering I have a 1 year old who would be sleeping on me? Any experiences?

It will be fine, the seats are no smaller than Easyjet, Jet2 etc so unless you are normally a BA Business Class passenger then you won't notice the difference

I found them amazing with kids and was allergic to them beforehand. They had the most straightforward check in for baby equipment. I didn't have an issue with space BUT they went through a stage when there were was no tea or coffee on board which freaked me. So I expect nothing now which disappoints me less.

For me it would depend where you're going and what time of day.

Last two times I flew with Ryanair were both to Majorca for work - Once from Manchester at around 5pm in the summer and I swear I was the only person on the plane not absolutely hammered drunk. There was nearly a fist-fight in the check-in queue, people were falling over. God knows why/how they let them all on. A Magaluf package holiday crowd who'd started their holiday very early Hmm

The following time (which I was dreading) was from Leeds, about 6.30am on a weekday. No problems at all.

If I don't like the whole ethos and attitude of the company so on a personal trip if I had another choice I'd take it, but I understand that plenty of people travel with them without issue.

Oh great, that is reassuring. I am definitely not normally a BA business class passenger but normally fly Easyjet and get an extra leg space seat at the front so we don’t spend ages boarding / can get off promptly. Generally find Easyjet good. If it is comparable then it will be fine! Thanks all.

@ImInStealthMode it would be to Ibiza so that would definitely be likely and a worry. However, I regularly fly to Amsterdam on a Friday night so I’ve seen it all!!!

@edgeware Honestly it was bad. I've travelled to Majorca & Tenerife a lot with BA / easyJet too and I've never seen anything like it. They have to have someone sitting in an emergency exit row if nobody's paid for the privilege and the Cabin Crew had a hard time finding people sober enough for the job.

Maybe I was particularly unlucky that time though.

@ImInStealthMode the flight in will be at 10:20 so hopefully that will dampen the general drunkenness slightly! I’ve booked now, wish me luck!

@edgeware You'll be grand at that time, but good luck anyway!
