I'm sick of staring at a screen all day! And I don't think it's good for me.
But, my last 20 years of work experience is all computer based or online stuff.
But, I am exceptionally good with people. I used to work in pubs when I was young and loved it. I'm very, very patient. I'm a diplomat and I'm good at making people feel heard and dealing with tricky customers. In fact, in every job I've had, in pubs, restaurants, schools, offices, they've always given me the difficult people to deal with. I do like dealing with happy people too, though!
I'm not great at training or things where I have to perform to a crowd. But I'm exceptionally good at dealing directly with people.
I'm fed up with screens now and seriously thinking of just walking away from them!
What kind of job would you recommend for me, if I were to change career?
I'm in my mid 40s so pretty late to be changing career, but I don't want to be doing this for another 30 years.
