Seems a standard price for mid range appliances, brand new. You could spend an awful lot more than that. The WM and DW could easily be £1k+ each on their own if you look for higher end Miele, Siemens or Bosch models.
I'm guessing maybe around £400 each for the WM and DW and £200 for the drier? Sometimes you can save a bit from places like Curry's because they have 'spend £X, save £50/100' type offers, which may help.
Also shop around and look for deals. Or sometimes you can get offers via workplace schemes to buy vouchers at a discount price. I sometimes do that if I'm planning to spend a lot at Curry's because I can get 5-7% off.
Don't discount eBay. We had to replace our oven in a hurry after a grill fire and I managed to get a graded one from ebay for £280, which was around half the new price from Currys/JL etc for the same model.
It said it was dented and scratched in the corner, but I had a good look when it was delivered - it seemed that the people selling them did their own deliveries, small family business type thing, but I couldn't even see anything wrong with it.
I'd concentrate less on the price and look at reviews. Some cheaper appliances are fine, but other times, the performance or longevity is suspect. Or sometimes, more expensive brands like Miele are so expensive that they'd have to live for about 40 years to get your money's worth compared with 2/3 cheaper ones.
But possibly it is an area where you shouldn't skimp if you can afford it, as good machines make life easier, could be cheaper to run and sometimes don't cost any more over time, than replacing cheaply made ones more frequently.
We've replaced our dishwasher and washing machine in the last 2 years and the tumble dryer and ovens about 5 years ago. Dishwasher was most expensive at around £650 because I wanted certain features and a Bosch one made in Germany, so it seemed worth paying the extra. We got a really good deal on an AEG washing machine due to combined offers, so it was £380 instead of about £550.
But for reasons I can't remember, we got an Indesit tumble dryer (we only really use it in an emergency so probably didn't think it was worth spending the money on) and it is utterly shit. I really regret that one and am almost willing it to break but it will probably last forever, seeing as we hardly use it.
