Political things to do around London?

I’m off to London for 2 days on Friday, I’m a big fan of politics and apart from BJs house, is there anything else that I may like around London? Thanks in advance

Tour of Parliament. You can email your MP’s office and say you’re a constituent and can they organise you a tour.

Speaker’s corner in Hyde Park.

I don't think you can visit BJs house - too much security at no 10.

It's quite easy to get into the Houses of Parliament /Westminster though, there are quite often events you can get invited to. Even if you don't go inside there are usually protesters hanging around outside and an interesting vibe.

Agree - House of Commons/House of Lords. You can usually listen to debates (I vividly remember one in the Lords on fishing rights).

@Tulipomania haha, by BJs house I meant the gates where the police are. Thank you for ur comment! X

You have to contact your MP for the tour months in advance. (That’s if they even bother to get back to you - can you tell I’m bitter cos mine never did 😂) And God only knows what the current Covid restrictions are.

I was going to suggest Churchill’s War Rooms (I see someone else already has)

Imperial War Museum must have some political things. If it not specifically political it’s very interesting.

Watching a trial at the Old Bailey can be fascinating. It's in two bits and the old Old Bailey still looks like a TV set. We found the person in charge inside was really helpful recommending which court we might find interesting.

But, be warned, you absolutely can't take a mobile in with you. In any circumstances. Some of the local shops will hold it for you for a few £.

Highgate Cemetery tour, Guildhall, House of Commons viewing platform (only need ticket for PMQs), Royal Courts of Justice Tour.

Lots of amazing buildings some times do tours - FCO is absolutely epic inside and probably my favourite.
