Recommendations for cheap but really good foot cream?

Sorry for the very boring question.

I’ve been using Flexitol Heel Balm which is about £20 for 485g. It contains 25% urea. It’s great but I just wondered if there were better, cheaper alternatives (the cheaper bit is the most important!)

I found one called CCS which is £27 for 1kg but it’s only 10% urea. I presume it’s the urea content I should be looking at?

I tried O’keefes, but didn’t find it very good.

I don’t have a lot of money so can’t risk buying creams that aren’t too good. I just hoped someone might have some budget recommendations!

I have tried them all but Flexitol is the best by far. I have accepted that it is better to put the money towards less Flexitol rather than waste it on cheaper (or more expensive) creams that don't work as well. Sorry!

Avon do a really good one.

Pee on your feet? Urea content of urine's gotta be high?

I use aldi hand cream. It works quite well at keeping feet soft. Super cheap so you can slap it on.

Superdrug own brand heel cream (green tube) is great. Lighter consistency than Flexitol but just as effective

Mrsjayy · 19/02/2022 09:54

I bought one in Savers it's their own hard skin balm it's the best budget cream I've tried it's a £1

Sheilaroundthefountain · 19/02/2022 09:55

@passwordnotsecure I’m not quite that skint yet, but there may come a time Grin

@TheYearOfSmallThings This was my fear!

I’ll try the Avon and Superdrug ones if they’re not too expensive.

Thank you all

CCS foot cream is about £7. It's 10% urea and really good.

BadlydoneHelen · 19/02/2022 10:04

I find the CCS foot cream really good and prefer it to Flexitol-strangely though the CCS heel balm is poor

eurochick · 19/02/2022 12:14

Use the flexitol but not all the time - use a cheap basic foot moisturiser in between.

Sheilaroundthefountain · 19/02/2022 12:49

Really like that idea @eurochick. Even if it was every other day, it keeps the price down.

I’m going to try the ccs lotion on your recommendation, weird that the balm is poor but I thought that about the okeefes one (and the hand one) but people rave about it. @BadlydoneHelen

I use Boots own brand cracked heel balm. It's really effective if you leave it on overnight too x

stepfordwifey · 19/02/2022 15:15

I like Soap & Glory Heel Genius from Boots.

Lightning020 · 19/02/2022 17:27

amicissimma · 19/02/2022 17:54

Superdrug foot butter. £4.99 for 150mls. I've used it for years and it's great.

BearPear · 19/02/2022 17:55

Another vote for the Soap & Glory, but my feet aren’t especially bad

Mol1628 · 19/02/2022 17:57

ursuslemonade · 19/02/2022 18:02

Eveline revitalum 30% urea softening cream for foot from ebay for my sandpaper-like heels.

MaizeAmaze · 19/02/2022 18:05

Soap and glory heal genius here too.
Low urea, but very good, imo.
Liking the idea of alternating them tho!

RockaLock · 19/02/2022 18:21

I'm using neutrogena foot cream at the moment, and like it.

Shouldbedoing · 19/02/2022 18:38

Asda do a version of cracked heel balm - in a green tube.
Some of these creams can be prescribed by your GP if your skin is skin dry - Flexitol for sure
