DS lost a tooth but no cash in house for tooth fairy-ideas please?

DS lost a tooth this eve, didnt even know he had a loose one.
He's put his tooth out for tooth fairy and a wee note for her too.
Except its near midnight and we haven't any cash in the house or car or anywhere!
Some loose pennies but no pound coins-all were used in parking meters I think!
Any ideas? we're tired and drawing blanks here!!

Many moons ago my mother used to always call the tooth fairy on the phone…I’m sure there was a listing in the yellow pages….( as I imagining that or was my mum just excellent at bull shitting?)
There were times she called for me or siblings teeth and we were told fairy couldn’t come tonight…be here tomorrow or next week….

Tooth fairy is just a bit scatty and doesn't work to the same kind of rigid schedule as Santa. She sometimes takes a few days to realise there's a tooth and then can be a few more days to come back with the money.

Fairies are flighty little creatures, can't be helped, it's in their nature.

Growing up I used to leave the tooth towards the end of a tissue and my parents would replace the tooth with a pound coin but would leave fairy footprints (dots) using a glittery (silver or gold) nail varnish leading up to the coin! But I do remember one time being left a bag of Maltesers instead (maybe there wasn't a £1 coin in the house). I believed in the tooth fairy longer than I believed in Santa so it worked well!
