Cryotherapy on face- minimising scarring?

Hi all, I’ve had a patch actinic keratosis on my cheek zapped with liquid nitrogen and an a bit shocked at the lumpiness/ blistering/ weeping/ crusting over as it was done without much explanation by the dermatologist.

I’m on day three and have started putting Vaseline on it.

Any tips to reduce scarring/ promote healing? Gels? Creams?

Tia

I had this on 2 very small areas and there was absolutely no scarring or scab at all.
Was it on a big area?
I have no specific advice, sorry but i always recommend Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream for anything skin related, i find it very soothing on my extremely sensitive skin

Lucky you @efeslight it’s only the size of a finger nail but it is quite a deep ‘burn’

I'm so sorry to hear that you're going through this! I can imagine how confusing and scary it must be to have this happen without much explanation. It sounds like you're doing everything possible to promote healing, and I hope it starts to feel better soon. Here are a few more ideas that might help: -Try using a gentle, non-abrasive cleanser on the area to keep it clean and free of bacteria. -Apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly or ointments to keep the area moist and help prevent scarring. You might also consider Cryotherapy in Dubai. From my experience, cryotherapy is working surprisingly well. I hope you'll recover soon!
